Cambria deprecates Founder, Cores and Companion NFTs in update

Cambria overhauls NFT ecosystem

Cambria is reworking its onchain asset ecosystem as it gears up for the launch of its genesis token, $RSGP, set for September 2026. The studio is consolidating utility into this single asset, phasing out certain NFT collections, including Founder NFTs and Arena Tokens.

Snapshops for these deprecated assets were taken on August 28, 2026 at 10 AM PT, 1 PM ET, and 7 PM CET. Existing holders can expect allocations of $RSGP based on their assets and loyalty metrics.

Changes to NFT collections

Founder NFTs will be entirely replaced by $RSGP, which participants will receive through a Genesis Airdrop. This airdrop includes a flat allocation per NFT plus a variable allocation that factors in Loyalty Score, First Founder status, and accumulated Points. Founders’ benefits, such as fee waivers and boost features, will now be tied to holding a sufficient amount of $RSGP.

The Core NFT collection is also being deprecated. Holders will receive an allocation of $RSGP, and its functions will transition to staked $RSGP. For instance, Cosmetic Shard generation and other roadmap features will now revolve around staked amounts.

Companion NFTs will shift to offchain assets, tradable in Clara’s Bazaar using Keys or Cambria’s future spend tokens, enhancing usability for non-crypto-native users. Arena Tokens will cease functioning as a separate currency and will be converted into the new economy.

Unchanged assets and the rollout plan

Notably, Islands NFTs remain intact as the foundation for ownership and guilds. As part of the transition, a final Arena Token burn for Keys will be available for holders seeking immediate value.

The $RSGP token launch is anticipated for September, with detailed tokenomics to be released shortly. Following this, Gold Rush Season 4 will incorporate $RSGP, leading into new gameplay features in the Standard League and Eternal World (official site).

Data highlights

The asset snapshot includes:

• 1,500 Founder NFTs minted on September 17, 2024 at 0.1 ETH, with about 400 classified as First Founders.
• 10,000 Core NFTs minted on Ronin in December 2024 at 20 RON.
• 27,723 Companion NFTs minted to date and 3,333 Islands NFTs from October 2025, all on Ethereum.

“Current balances will follow the same principles as past transitions,” a Cambria spokesperson said, referencing the earlier conversion of Arena Tokens to Cosmetic Shards.
