Critters Quest switched on its mainnet game Aug. 8, opening the Solana 4X title to Master Edition holders and putting Clone holders on a 24-hour delay.
“Critters Quest mainnet is OPEN,” the team said in a post on X. “Build. Gather. Craft. Hunt. Raid. Masters play first. Clones follow in 24h.”

The game runs in the browser at game.critters.quest. Playing it requires a Critter, $QUEST and SOL.
What the game asks players to do
Players build and upgrade a town, then send critters out for wood, stone, ore and herbs. Gear gets crafted at the blacksmith, gems cut at the jeweler and potions brewed at the alchemist.
From there it splits two ways. A squad of four can go into monster hunts, or a player can raid a rival town and take a cut of its vault. The game carries seven factions, five equipment slots, themed sets with set bonuses and gem sockets.
Each Critter NFT functions as its own wallet, holding gear, resources and tokens. Anything crafted, won or looted is an asset the player can trade.
The site’s pitch for the launch was “Two worlds, one economy.” The other world is Lucky Pick, the mining game that opened four days earlier at mine.critters.quest. Player spending there funds the Mine, the Mine pays out SOL and $QUEST to winners, and part of every round buys back and burns $QUEST.
A rollout staged across eight days
The mainnet was the last step in a sequence. Pre-Mine deposits opened Aug. 1 at 12 p.m. ET on a 48-hour window. Claims and staking followed Aug. 3, letting holders collect $QUEST and vault it. Lucky Pick mining switched on Aug. 4.
Aug. 8 brought the 4X world and 100,000,000 $QUEST in resource pool liquidity, seeding the markets where wood, stone and ore trade against the token.
The launch pool opened on a price curve, with a Meteora Alpha Vault taking SOL deposits and sweeping up to 20,000,000 $QUEST for pro-rata distribution to depositors at a single average price. The remaining 30,000,000 stayed on the curve. Every SOL deposited stays in the pool as permanently locked liquidity rather than moving to a team wallet.
Where the supply sits
Of the 120,000,000 $QUEST circulating at launch, 20,000,000 sits in the Pre-Mine Launch Pool: 10 million sold in the Pre-Mine and 10 million paired against it as pool liquidity. The 100 million in resource LPs counts as circulating but only reaches players who gather and sell resources. Everything else was locked on day one.
A further 225,000,000 is marketing-locked and releases at 25 million a month from Aug. 8 through Jupiter Lock.
Master Edition holders staked their NFTs over the past year and put 313,380,224 $QUEST into the launch when the opt-in window closed March 2, 2026. Of that, 283,380,224 funds the Lucky Pick mining vault and 30,000,000 seeds the launch pool as buy-side depth. Contributors earn 1% of all mining revenue for life. Counting the resource seeds, roughly 433.4 million $QUEST powers the launch.
The project publishes supply figures at critters.quest/supply, a page it calls The Auditor, listing total, circulating and gameplay-bound balances plus reserve accounts read from Solana mainnet. Mint authority is revoked.
The NFTs behind the split
The Masters and Editions structure is what creates the 24-hour gap. A Master Edition carries a fixed $QUEST allocation and the right to mint 15 Clones, and it stays the earning vehicle for XP and $QUEST. The collection totals 3,500 NFTs. The original 2,500-item mint went out Dec. 19, 2024.
Paradice Tech built the game. Before mainnet it ran a devnet beta called The Gathering, gated by wallet verification of Genesis Quest staking status.
The team also burned 31,000,000 $QUEST across two burns ahead of the launch. The first was 6 million originally set aside to seed World Bosses and Monsters, which turned out to be unnecessary after 5 million came in from Terron spins and renaming fees over the past year.
