In Brief:

  • Farming Season (official site) launched Village Seasons, which lets players switch their village out of its default summer setting to spring, autumn or winter.
  • The game’s announcement on X said the chosen season changes the look of the whole farm, from blossoming trees in spring to golden fields and falling leaves in autumn.
  • The update arrives a week into Season 1, which opened Oct. 19 on Robinhood Chain alongside the $SEASON token.

Farming Season players can now change the season in their village. The update went live this week.

“Village Seasons are LIVE in Farming Season!” the project said on X. “Your village no longer has to stay in summer. Pick a season and watch your whole farm change.”

Village Seasons are LIVE in Farming Season!
Your village no longer has to stay in summer. Pick a season and watch your whole farm change:
Spring: fresh grass, blossoming trees, drifting petals Autumn: golden fields, red & orange forests, falling leaves
Winter: snowy

What changes

The post lists three options besides summer. Spring brings “fresh grass, blossoming trees, drifting petals.” Autumn has “golden fields, red & orange forests, falling leaves.”

Winter is described as “snowy.” The post doesn’t say whether switching seasons has a cost or affects crops, animals or income.

The game’s player guide lists its cosmetic items as Town Hall colors, farmstead decorations and arena sword skins. The guide says cosmetics give no gameplay advantage.

A week into Season 1

Season 1 opened Oct. 19. The team posted the $SEASON contract address that day on its @farmingseasonio account and opened the game at 16:30 UTC.

The team said the contract, 0xea0071a8778fa02c12378e88868255e0e0952be6, is “the only official contract.” Before launch, it told players to ignore contract addresses posted anywhere other than its own X account.

Since launch, the X account has said 228,607,655 $SEASON have been burned, or 22.86% of supply. That figure comes from the team. It has also announced a Weekly Arena Cup.

How the game works

Entry costs a one-time fee worth $1, paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain. Town Hall levels run from 1 to 5. Level 1 covers six fields, a coop and a sheep pen. Level 5 raises produce value to ×2.4.

The Mine and Oil Well tie in-game goods to real markets. Chainlink feeds on Robinhood Chain track gold through GLD, silver through SLV and oil through USO.

“Each good has a value at the start of the season and follows the real price from there, limited to between half and double,” the guide said.

The Farm Bank buys goods at live prices. Players can also lock tokens there for seven, 14 or 28 days for harvest bonuses of 4% to 20%.

Spending $SEASON in the game sends “half burned, half goes to the reward pool,” according to the guide. Deposits into the token vault carry a 3% fee and withdrawals a 5% fee.

Arena and clans

The Battle Arena is a wave-based monster defense mode where “each life costs 5 energy.” Bosses, including the Minotaur and Rat King, show up every five waves.

Clans complete weekly quests for harvest bonuses of 10% to 20%. Racing requires Town Hall level 2 and at least five members at level 2 or higher.

Each week, “Top 3 clans share prizes in tokens from the reward pool,” the guide said.

Bitget’s listing page says @nuhbatuhann and a small community team started the project, and it calls Farming Season an “experimental derivative game project.”
