In Brief:

  • World of ClaudeCraft has shipped what its team called its “biggest patch yet,” a full graphics overhaul that gives every character and weapon new visuals.
  • Eastbrook and Mirefen have been rebuilt, Mirefen has a new tavern and Highwatch now has an Adventurers’ Guild Hall.
  • To mark the update, existing characters on the Claudemoon realm get one available appearance redesign and a reset of their dungeon and raid lockouts. The game’s Steam page is open for wishlists.

World of ClaudeCraft has pushed a full graphics overhaul, replacing the visuals for every character and weapon in the game, studio Levy Street said in a post on X.

“Our biggest patch yet,” the team said. Two of the starting areas, Eastbrook and Mirefen, have been rebuilt. Mirefen picked up a new tavern, and Highwatch got an Adventurers’ Guild Hall.

The changes arrive in version 0.45.0. Its release notes describe it as including “the v0.45.0 game updates and a realm-wide release gift.”

The release gift

Under that gift, “existing Claudemoon characters receive one available appearance redesign, and their normal and heroic dungeon and raid lockouts are reset,” according to the patch notes.

That gives players a free chance to put their characters into the new models, plus a clean slate on instanced content.

What changed

All nine classes got updated character models in a new art pack the team calls WOC. Humanoid enemies moved onto the same bodies, and the developers made new hand-keyed animations for movement, autoattacks, combat stances and abilities.

Boss encounters were remade across several dungeons using the new art-guide bodies, including the Hollow Crypt, Sunken Bastion and Drowned Temple. Five dungeons were reworked on authored open-air fields, and every five-player dungeon now has a boss guide and an objectives tracker.

Eastbrook was rebuilt as a Studio map with painted Tidehold buildings. Players can now walk into those buildings through open doorways.

Mirefen’s tavern is walkable, with seats, patrons and ambient sound, and the area now has painted mudfin huts. In Highwatch, the guild headquarters is called Lantern Hall, built in the game’s painted world style.

Getting the interiors right took some iteration. A pull request on the project’s GitHub said the five painted buildings in Highwatch “read small next to a player” during playtesting, and the chase camera clipped through walls indoors. The fix added a walk-in interior camera, ported from the Mirefen tavern work, and scaled each building so its door sits at about 5 yards, the same as the tavern.

The patch also adds two mounts, the Nightwing Chimaera and Wobbles the Slime, along with world PvP bounties tied into the kill feed and a Studio map editor with terrain tools. The notes list membership infrastructure and a Stripe webhook relay on the back end.

Steam page live

The game’s Steam listing names Levy Street Games as developer and publisher. It’s free to play, the release date reads “Coming soon,” and the page lists in-app purchases, cross-platform multiplayer, Steam Achievements and leaderboards.

The store copy describes a classic-style micro-MMO with nine classes, classic-era combat formulas, a quest world across three zones, five-player elite dungeons and a ranked 1v1 arena.

Background

Levy Street, based in Wellington, New Zealand, built the first playable version of World of ClaudeCraft in about 48 hours using Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5. The repository went up June 10, 2026, and the game launched publicly June 12.

The code is open source under the MIT license, though the name and branding aren’t licensed. The studio said that as of Oct. 19 the project had 2,303 GitHub stars, 732 forks, 60 contributors and nearly 20,000 commits, with 91,094 characters created on the live server.

Players start in Eastbrook Vale and follow a Gravecaller conspiracy north through Mirefen Marsh into Thornpeak Heights, where Highwatch is the hub. The game runs in the browser at worldofclaudecraft.com, as desktop builds for Windows, macOS and Linux, and on iOS and Android, all in one shared world. It supports 22 languages.

The same TypeScript core also runs as a Gymnasium environment for training AI agents.

Justine Moore, a partner at Andreessen Horowitz, called the project “a fun look at the future of vibecoding real games.”
