Crypto Raiders is a Polygon-based multiplayer game built around raider characters held as NFTs, blending dungeon-crawling adventure with light MMORPG progression and party-building strategy. The core loop is straightforward: acquire a raider, level it up, shape its abilities, and send it into battle against other players' characters for rewards. Because raiders live on-chain, ownership and supply are verifiable, and an in-game marketplace lets players buy, sell, and trade them rather than being locked into whatever they started with.

What works is the clarity of that ownership model. Your roster is a tradable asset, so time invested in a character has an exit, and the marketplace turns progression into something with a secondary life. Running entirely on Polygon also keeps the transaction friction lower than a mainnet equivalent would.

What does not work as well is the entry cost of that same design. Progress is gated behind owning raiders, which means the starting point is a purchase and a wallet rather than a download. PvP-and-marketplace economies also live or die on active player counts, and a thin market makes both battles and resale harder.

It suits players already comfortable with Polygon wallets and NFT trading who want asset ownership woven into the progression itself. Anyone looking for a free, self-contained RPG will find the on-chain layer more obstacle than feature.
