About Apeiron

What is Apeiron?

Apeiron is a free-to-download game from Foonie Magus Pte. Ltd. that mixes a roguelike dungeon crawler, real-time card battles and god-game planet management. Its Steam page sets the scene: you are a Godling, a newborn god summoned by High Goddess Cosmos to push back the darkness of the Mad God Chaos. You explore dungeons in PvE, fight other players in the Arena, and look after a Planet whose small inhabitants are called Doods. The tagline is 'Ascend the Godiverse', and the project's home is the official site.

How Apeiron plays

Combat is real time. The Steam description compares it to Slay the Spire mixed with MOBA play, so you cast cards at the right moment while steering a giant Avatar. Dood Apostles join your deck with their own skills and a randomized power rating, and Season 7 added a Summoner Apostle class. On a Planet you use elemental Miracles to answer your followers' prayers or punish them, and the outcome unlocks new skills and shapes for your Avatar.

Where to play

The iOS version is listed on the App Store as a free download from Foonie Magus. It was first released on 12 December 2024, and version 1.7.68 followed on 2 October 2026 with reworked dungeons, a new player tutorial, a PvP VS screen, a practice mode with selectable AI difficulty and performance fixes. A Steam page for Windows and macOS exists, free, with the release date still marked 'To be announced'. The developer's blog of September 2025 also pointed players to the Epic Games Store.

Tokens, NFTs and seasons

The economy uses Planet and Apostle NFTs and the tokens APRS and ANIMA. Season 7 ran from 7 July to 18 August 2025 with a 30,000 USDC prize pool, and the studio reported more than 10,000 USDC paid out through Divine Keys and over 3,000 USDC to the VIP PvP leaderboard before the season closed. VIP rewards required buying the Battle Pass with APRS. In September 2025 the team paused PvP seasons and said the date of Season 8 was to be confirmed.

Roadmap as of November 2026

In a progress report dated 11 May 2026 the studio said the full God Game is being rebuilt around personal AI agents, with an MVP targeted for summer. It also said Primeval Planets and APRS are being revised, and that a new tokenomics structure is planned on a chain it had not yet chosen.

Our verdict

Apeiron is a roguelike and card-battle game with a god-game layer, made by Foonie Magus. You fight through dungeons with a deck of cards and Dood Apostles, play PvP in the Arena, and manage a Planet between runs. The App Store build was still receiving updates in October 2026, with version 1.7.68.

The economy is where the risk sits. Season 7 rewards in 2025 were paid in USDC through Divine Keys, but VIP rewards needed a Battle Pass bought with APRS, and token prices and staking requirements changed between seasons. Since September 2025 the studio blog lists no new season, and the studio says its token model is being rebuilt on a chain it has not announced, so older guides to APRS, ANIMA and Planet breeding may no longer apply.

The Steam release date is still to be announced, so the iOS app is the version with documented updates. It suits players who want a free card roguelike to try. Anyone thinking of buying Planets, staking APRS or buying a Battle Pass should wait for the studio's rebuilt token details first.
