What is Apeiron?

Apeiron is a blockchain "god game" that mixes god-game strategy with action RPG combat under the tagline "Ascend the Godiverse". Rather than controlling a single hero, the player acts as a deity over a planet and its inhabitants, shaping the world and directing the mortals who live on it. The game is built around two kinds of NFT: planets, each generated with one of fifteen biomes, and the Godlings and Apostles that fight for you. It is available on Steam and on iOS and Android, and it has migrated to the Ronin blockchain, where its planets and avatars trade on the marketplace.

How to play Apeiron

Players command Godlings, creatures defined by elemental affinity — Fire, Water, Air or Earth — and by class, with Fury, Wisdom and Fate covering the three broad playstyles. Alongside them are twelve Apostle types: Warrior, Guardian, Rogue, Berserker, Knight, Hunter, Mage, Summoner, Dragoon, Bard, Priest and Shaman. Each planet is rolled from one of fifteen biomes, which changes what grows there and how it plays. The competitive mode is the Arena, where squads are pitted against one another for seasonal rewards. Note that the most recent dated event published on the official site is the Season 3 Arena Open Beta, which ran from 28 February to 18 March 2024.

Apeiron tokenomics & earning

The game's token is $ANIMA, and the published earning loop runs through the Arena: Souls earned in matches convert to $ANIMA Airdrop Points at a ratio of 4:1. Holders can also stake Planets, Apostles and $RON — Ronin's own token — to earn Apostle Tickets and further rewards. Planets, Godlings and Apostles are tradeable NFTs, so the assets that determine how you play are the same assets that hold value outside the game.
