Highstreet sits at the intersection of retail commerce and blockchain gaming rather than squarely inside either. The concept is a virtual high street: you run your own store, choose stock, set prices, customise the shopfront and compete with other players to build the busiest business in a shared world. It runs on Ethereum, and the chain does real work here — it settles transactions and, more importantly, lets players trade virtual goods with each other rather than only with the game itself.

What works conceptually is the fit between subject and technology. A retail simulation is fundamentally about pricing, scarcity and exchange, so a tradable-item layer supports the loop instead of being bolted on. What is harder to judge is depth: publicly available information tells you a great deal about the commerce framing and very little about how demanding the simulation actually is, how customer demand behaves, or what a session looks like minute to minute.
