My Neighbor Alice
What is My Neighbor Alice?
My Neighbor Alice is a blockchain-based casual game where players can create and manage virtual islands on the Ethereum network. The game emphasizes social interaction and creative expression, featuring cute graphics and accessible gameplay mechanics designed to appeal to players of all experience levels. Players own their in-game assets as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), giving them true digital ownership and the ability to trade these items on the blockchain independently of the game platform.
How to play My Neighbor Alice
Gameplay centers on island building and exploration mechanics. Players can purchase and customize land plots with various decorations and resources to create unique virtual spaces. The game encourages social engagement through interactions with other players in a shared world and participation in quests and seasonal events. This casual approach to game design makes My Neighbor Alice accessible to players unfamiliar with blockchain technology, while its multiplayer social features encourage community engagement, collaboration, and creative expression.
My Neighbor Alice tokenomics & earning
The game uses cryptocurrency for in-game transactions, enabling players to buy, sell, and trade virtual assets directly. Players can potentially generate real-world value by selling items, decorations, land plots, and other collectibles on peer-to-peer markets. My Neighbor Alice's blockchain foundation ensures all transactions are transparent and recorded on the Ethereum ledger, meaning player-owned assets retain value outside the game environment and can be held, transferred, or sold independently of the platform.

Our verdict on My Neighbor Alice
My Neighbor Alice is a cozy multiplayer builder from the Swedish studio Antler Interactive — much closer to Animal Crossing than to a trading terminal. You claim a plot on a shared island, then farm, build, decorate and meet other players, with land, houses, animals and cosmetics held as NFTs. One detail the listing obscures: while the ALICE token circulates as an ERC-20 on Ethereum (and on BNB Chain), the game itself now runs on Chromia, where even weather and plant growth are computed on-chain.
What works is the on-ramp. Chapter One opens in a browser with no download, no wallet and no tokens required; an account is provisioned in the background and Chromia's gasless model means players never see a transaction fee. The Moxie progression system gives people who own nothing a reason to keep logging in, which is rare in this category.
What does not work is pace and follow-through. The game spent years in numbered alpha and beta seasons before a first full chapter, and the promised handover to community-led governance still has no firm timetable. With ALICE far below its early highs, the speculative crowd has thinned and the marketplace is quieter than the pitch suggests.
It is for patient life-sim players who want a social sandbox they partly own. Anyone arriving for earnings will find the loop far too gentle.
