About PlanetForge

What is PlanetForge?

PlanetForge is a browser-based asteroid-field shooter on Solana. You fly a ship that holds the centre of the screen while the field turns around it: the left and right arrow keys rotate the ship, the cannons fire on their own, and on touch screens you hold the left or right half of the screen to turn. A virtual joystick can be switched on if you prefer a thumbstick.

How it plays

Every run is a timed survival sector. Asteroids and alien raiders spawn faster as the clock runs, and you clear the sector by staying alive until the timer ends. Shattered rocks shed ore that you scoop up by flying into it. Five materials exist, from common iron to iridium, and a rare currency called Lumium drops now and then. After a mission the ship is grounded for repairs for a few minutes, so players keep several ships in the hangar.

Forging and the market

Materials are burned in the forge to build new ships and modules. Ships come in Standard, Elite and Apex classes, and modules such as double, triple, side and back cannons and homing missiles stack on mount slots. Forging also costs a small floating SOL fee, quoted by the server and confirmed on-chain. Finished items can be bought and sold on an in-game market whose prices move with demand, using the $PFORGE token, which trades on pump.fun. Sign-in is with a Solana wallet such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack, and no transaction is needed just to log in.

Our verdict

PlanetForge is a compact arcade shooter with a crafting and trading layer bolted on. The flying itself is easy to pick up, and the tutorial page explains materials, ship classes, modules and repair times clearly.

The economy is the part to read before committing money. Forging needs a SOL fee, trading needs $PFORGE, and both sit on a small, newly launched project without a named team. It suits players who enjoy short arcade runs and are comfortable with a wallet; treat any token spending as a risk rather than an income plan.
