The inaugural 2021 series of 8,888 ERC-721 tokens on Ethereum drew its characters from Gala's own Town Star, and the pitch was portability: every holder gets a downloadable FBX file to animate, render, 3D print or drop into other software, plus benefits meant to surface inside Gala titles such as Town Star, Mirandus and The Walking Dead: Empires. Later drops leaned on licensed IP, including DreamWorks Trolls, sold as ERC-1155 boxes exchanged for the ERC-721 character.
