About Vulcan Champions
What is Vulcan Champions?
Vulcan Champions is a creature-raising game from Vulcan Forged with quests, equipment and arena battles, played on the VulcanX platform. Players adopt a baby champion and raise it through 20 life stages to Legendary, which is reached at level 50. There are eight species, each with several bloodlines. The game runs on Elysium, Vulcan Forged's own blockchain (chain ID 1339), and uses the PYR token for purchases. Chest quests and potion drops elsewhere in the VulcanX ecosystem feed into it.
How to play
You start by connecting a wallet, collecting a free starter pack of 80 potions in the test build, and adopting and naming your champion. Players feed their champion trait potions to raise its stats. There are six trait potions, each adding 15 to its stat, and potions are locked to a species. You equip your champion in five gear slots across four rarity tiers and send it on timed adventures lasting from 15 minutes to four hours, which award stat gains and fill the Evolution Bar. To evolve, a champion needs the stage's required level, a full Evolution Bar and an Evolution Potion, and Blessings help it along.
The arena runs asynchronous battles against bots or real players, with stances, abilities and an ELO ladder. A five-chapter PvE campaign has three monsters and a boss per chapter, fought in Auto or Active combat mode, and boss kills award chests. A seven-day login streak that resets if you miss a day, a bond meter from 0 to 100 that unlocks visual effects, mood mechanics, and weekly and all-time leaderboards add daily goals. The all-time board ranks champions by Power Score, and the weekly board ranks them by ELO gained.
Where it stands
The current build is labelled a QA or MVP build. Players sign in with MetaMask or WalletConnect on Elysium. Adoption costs 20 PYR, renaming 5 PYR, trait potions 3 PYR, Evolution Potions and Blessings 8 PYR, and a full energy recharge 10 PYR, each confirmed in the wallet first. Arena wagers are capped at 50 PYR during testing, and the winner takes 95 percent of the pot, with a 5 percent rake. During QA, champions and potions are stored in a database. At launch, champions become ERC-721 tokens and potions ERC-1155 tokens, and Legendary champions become animated collectibles. Trading between players is switched off in the QA build. For players who already hold PYR, Vulcan Champions is a low-cost way to try a raising game inside the Vulcan Forged ecosystem.

Vulcan Champions is a creature-raising game from Vulcan Forged, played in the browser on the VulcanX platform and paid for in PYR on the studio's own Elysium chain. You adopt a baby champion from one of eight species, feed it trait potions that each add 15 to a stat, kit it out in five gear slots and send it on timed adventures that fill an Evolution Bar. Twenty life stages lead to Legendary at level 50.
The raising loop is the best part. Potions are locked to a species, evolving needs the right level, a full bar and an Evolution Potion, and a bond meter and mood mechanics give the pet some personality. Around it sit an asynchronous arena with stances, abilities and an ELO ladder, a five-chapter PvE campaign whose bosses drop chests, and weekly and all-time leaderboards.
The catch is that nearly every action has a price in PYR: 20 to adopt, 3 per trait potion, 8 for Evolution Potions and Blessings and 10 for a full energy recharge, with arena wagers capped at 50 PYR and a 5 percent rake. The current build is a QA or MVP release, champions live in a database until launch turns them into ERC-721 tokens, and player trading is off.
It suits PYR holders who enjoy a daily pet-raising routine. Players with no stake in Vulcan Forged will meet the costs early.
