Vulcan Champions is an auto-battler played in the browser through VulcanX, Vulcan Forged's platform. You assemble a squad before the match and then watch it fight: the decisions are all made in advance, in team composition and positioning, and the battle itself resolves without your input. It is a well-worn format and a sensible one for a browser game, because a match asks for a few minutes rather than an evening.

Its real argument is context. Vulcan Forged has been running for years, with its own marketplace, the PYR token and the Elysium chain underneath, and a set of games that share characters and reward tracks. Progress here is not stranded in one title, which is more than most crypto games can say.

The trade-off is the one every auto-battler makes, sharpened by the ecosystem framing. If you do not enjoy building a team and then letting go, there is little else to do; and the reasons to keep playing lean on platform-wide quests and rewards, which means the game's appeal is partly the appeal of Vulcan Forged as a whole.

It suits players who like squad-building puzzles in short bursts and are already interested in the wider platform. Anyone wanting hands-on combat should look at the studio's other titles instead.
