What is XOCIETY?
XOCIETY is a third-person "pop extraction shooter" with RPG progression, developed by Korean studio NDUS Interactive in Unreal Engine. It is set on a ruined Earth where what remains of humanity fights hostile creatures to reclaim territory, and it mixes PvE and PvP combat with a heavily customizable character system. The game entered free public early access on the Epic Games Store on November 29, 2025, and also runs on the SuiPlay0X1 handheld. Its on-chain layer is built on Sui, using Sui infrastructure such as Slush and zkLogin for sign-in, Walrus for on-chain match replays, dynamic NFTs, and closed-loop in-game tokens. Investors in the studio include KRAFTON, Spartan and Big Brain Holdings.
How to play XOCIETY
Matches place players on a shared battlefield where they fight AI enemies and each other for loot that becomes more valuable as the round progresses. The central decision is when to extract: gear carried out can be kept, upgraded, crafted into better equipment or sold on the in-game market, while being killed before extraction puts the haul at risk. Fast movement and tactical gunplay drive combat. Matchmaking uses ping beacons, so players can select a preferred server city, and the client is free to download from the Epic Games Store.
XOCIETY tokenomics & earning
The economy centers on the $XO token, with a stated total supply of 5 billion, alongside closed-loop in-game tokens and dynamic NFTs that record equipment and player progress on-chain. Because assets are tokenized, items obtained in raids can be traded between players rather than remaining bound to a single account. Governance is handled through the XOCIETY Corporate Share system and X-DAO, which allow holders to vote on matters such as game modes and items.
Is XOCIETY worth playing?
XOCIETY is still in early access, so content, balance and economy parameters continue to change; combat, gear, skills and loot systems were reworked after playtest feedback ahead of the early access launch. The free entry point means trying it costs nothing but time, though players expecting a finished, fully balanced shooter should treat the current build as work in progress.

Our verdict on XOCIETY
XOCIETY is an extraction shooter with RPG layers, built in Unreal Engine by Korean studio NDUS Interactive and running its on-chain systems on Sui. Rounds drop you onto a shared map against AI enemies and other players, where loot grows more valuable the longer you stay and the only question that really matters is when to leave. That tension is the game, and it is a well-understood one — the interesting part is that gear, progress and match replays are recorded on-chain, so what you carry out can be sold to another player rather than sitting in a private inventory.
What works is the shooting itself: movement is quick, gunfire has weight, and a team with credits from NCSOFT, Nexon and Krafton shows in the production values. What does not is the surrounding scaffolding. The $XO token, closed-loop in-game currencies, dynamic NFTs, corporate-share governance and a DAO add a great deal of vocabulary to a genre that lives on split-second decisions, and early access means balance and economy rules are still moving under your feet.
Worth a look if you already enjoy extraction shooters and want to see a tradable economy tested in public. Anyone wanting a settled, finished game should wait.
