In Brief:
- GIGACHADBAT pushed two upgrades live: players can pay for Premium Balls with $CHAD, and $CHAD stakers get bigger score boosters.
- The payment change extends the token past staking into direct in-game spending, the part of the game where Premium Mode money moves.
- The updates land about five weeks after Yield Guild Games shut YGG Play and handed the game back to Delabs Games.
GIGACHADBAT players can now pay for Premium Balls with $CHAD, the game said, one of two token upgrades it pushed live.
The second raises score boosters for players who stake $CHAD. The game said details would follow in a thread.

A second job for the token
Until now $CHAD’s in-game role ran through staking. Players locked tokens, and the game handed back free pBalls for daily quests and premium matches, plus in-game boosts, event access and staking-only modes tied to league progression.
Direct payment adds another path. The staking change stacks on top of it, applying to the score multipliers players use in Premium Mode.
How the tiers work
Staking tiers run off a seven-day average. Each day at 00:00 UTC the system records a player’s lowest staked balance over the prior 24 hours, then averages seven of those readings to set the tier, so a one-day spike doesn’t move a player up.
There’s no cooldown and no lock-in. Players stake or unstake whenever they want.
YGG supplies the seven-day average staked figure. Delabs sets the in-game reward rules and handles distribution.
Where the balls get spent
GIGACHADBAT splits into Free Mode and Premium Mode. In Premium Mode players spend pBalls and apply score multipliers, and a successful hit triggers a Boost Card draw that can protect a score or increase rewards. An “Out” costs the full stake. A “Foul” draws a penalty.
The publisher is gone
The upgrades come after the game changed hands. Yield Guild Games said July 6 it would sunset YGG Play, its publishing arm, by Aug. 1, cutting 35 employees and redirecting the company toward the AI data economy.
GIGACHADBAT went back to Delabs. Ragnarok Breaker stayed with Planetarium Labs. Both kept running under their original developers with new redemption flows for in-game rewards, while LOL Land and Waifu Sweeper were retired.
Rewards now route through Delabs Play. Premium points were reset, and points earned before the Aug. 1 snapshot are being airdropped as $YGG.
“a heavy decision, but it is a market decision, not a product decision,” said Gabby Dizon, co-founder of Yield Guild Games, of the shutdown.
YGG Play booked more than $9.6 million in lifetime revenue, including more than $541,000 in the second quarter of 2026 across LOL Land (official site), Waifu Sweeper and GIGACHADBAT. LOL Land accounted for $8.59 million of that.
Token background
$CHAD launched in February on the YGG Play Launchpad, on Abstract, with a capped supply of 5,000,000,000 tokens. The presale ran Feb. 4 to Feb. 6, and the token deployed Feb. 13 at a fully diluted valuation of $500,000.
Ten percent of supply went to a two-season Play-to-Airdrop. Season 1 ran Jan. 21 to Feb. 3 and distributed 5%, counting in-game spend back to Sept. 18, 2025, with a $120 minimum, an opt-in requirement, a 2x multiplier on spend during the window and only the top 150 players qualifying.
$CHAD trades on decentralized exchanges only. Delabs and Yield Guild Games said they don’t plan to support centralized listings, leaving $YGG as the ecosystem token available on both. The team has told buyers to keep transactions small, calling $CHAD a low-cap token sensitive to the market.
