Gameplay clips reportedly circulating online show fuel and engine gauges on vehicles, with players allegedly required to pull into gas stations to refuel. Refueling reportedly means getting out of the car, and the fill-up is said to take roughly 10 seconds.
Ten seconds is nothing when you’re cruising. Ten seconds with a mission timer running, or with police behind you, is a different math problem entirely.
None of this comes from Rockstar. It comes from clips passed around social media, and the studio hasn’t confirmed a fuel system exists.
The rumored version keeps growing
The same chatter claims electric vehicles would get their own charging stations scattered across the map. Damaged cars, per the rumors, may eventually hit a “check engine” or breakdown state and require paid repairs at a gas station.
Which would change one of the series’ oldest instincts. Ditching a car because it’s seconds from exploding might not be your only option anymore. You could pay to fix it instead.
Again: unconfirmed. Rockstar hasn’t said a word about breakdown mechanics.
Then it gets stranger
Claims that GTA 6 will include a sportsbook have spread fast online, with rumors suggesting players could wager fictional in-game currency on simulated sporting events. The loudest version of the story alleges integration with the real-world crypto casino brand “Rainbet.”
Treat that one with real skepticism. Clips purporting to show the integration have been widely flagged as fake, AI-generated or connected to an alleged promotional crypto scam tied to a leaker known as “Cyberleek.”
So the flashiest GTA 6 gambling story going around may be a scam wearing a leak’s clothing.
The boring explanation is the likely one
A more plausible scenario is Rockstar building on the enormous success of GTA Online’s Diamond Casino. That would mean blackjack, poker, slots and virtual racing, all running inside the game’s fictional economy. No crypto brand. No real money. Just the house edge you already know.
