Rockstar Games confirmed that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will open on Tuesday, June 25, across digital storefronts and select physical retailers.
The announcement came through an official post on X alongside the game’s first cover art, which is now available for download in multiple resolutions at rockstargames.com/VI.
Players can already add GTA 6 to their wishlist on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store ahead of the pre-order launch.
What Rockstar hasn’t said yet
The June 25 date will answer two of the biggest remaining questions: pricing and editions. Rockstar didn’t reveal either in this announcement, which means next Tuesday is when we’ll find out whether there’s a standard edition, a premium tier, or both, and what each costs.
Given the industry trend toward $69.99 baseline pricing for major releases and Take-Two’s track record of premium editions with bonus content, expect the pricing conversation to dominate the week.
Release date and platforms
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has been confirmed but doesn’t have a release date yet.
