In Brief:
- Kintara (official site) has turned on a Halloween event in its Solana browser MMO, with Haunted Chests, limited cosmetics and rare Zombie Mask drops.
- Event mounts, pets and furniture are also part of the release. The team said all of it is live now.
- The event follows two October announcements: the Sunken Isles, Kintara’s first open-water biome, and the game’s first ranged weapon.
Kintara has launched a Halloween event, adding Haunted Chests, limited cosmetics and rare Zombie Mask drops to the game.
“Halloween has taken over Kintara,” the team said in a post on X from its @PlayKintara account.
Halloween has taken over Kintara
Haunted Chests, limited cosmetics, rare Zombie Mask drops, event mounts, pets, furniture and more are now live.
Trick or treat?
Event mounts, pets and furniture are in the release as well. The post said the content and “more” are “now live.” It didn’t give an end date, drop rates for the Zombie Mask or details on how Haunted Chests are opened.
Mounts and furniture
The seasonal list touches systems players already use. Furniture fits the Apartments added in version 3.6, which also brought a multi-page banking system and a Merchant Cycle.
Mounts carry weight in Kintara’s economy. After the Stablemaster Gilding feature went live, players burned more than 3,829 mounts in two days, cutting total mount supply.
The team hasn’t said whether the Halloween mounts can be gilded or traded on the Marketplace.
A busy October
The Halloween event is Kintara’s third content announcement this month.
On Oct. 7 the team said the Sunken Isles are coming to Kintara. Players will sail east from The Shores into the game’s first open-water biome, which has three explorable isles, coral reefs, shipwrecks and a deep-sea trench. Ultra-rare drops in the zone include the Coral Crown, a Trident and a Kraken mount.
A day later, on Oct. 8, Kintara added its first ranged weapon. Sahriel the Bowbinder opened shop in the Dunes, selling a Bow for 50 gold and 20 Arrows for 1 gold. Bows fire up to four tiles away and have a 1-in-3 chance to hit for 40 damage against both players and mobs.
Background
Kintara launched May 22, 2026, as an isometric MMO that runs in the browser with no download. Players gather, craft, quest and fight in PvE and PvP, and a player’s Solana wallet is their account.
The game runs two currencies. Gold covers everyday activity, and $KINS is the onchain token. Players can earn $KINS by selling gold on the open Marketplace, winning PvP wagers in the Wilderness and landing rare fishing drops.
Sellers on the Marketplace keep 95% of each sale. The remaining 5% fee, which used to go entirely to the treasury, is now split, with 2.5% burned and 2.5% sent to the treasury.
Kintara came to Solana Mobile in August. Its official guide lists “Merchants and events” as one way gold enters the game’s economy.
The Halloween post ended with a two-word question for players: “Trick or treat?”
