In Brief:

  • Kintara (official site)’s Halloween event runs until Nov. 2. Candy Corn drops from monsters, fishing and woodcutting.
  • Players can trade Candy Corn with the Candy Witch for a Pumpkin Carriage mount, a Ghost pet, a Spider Cape and other items.
  • The event runs alongside Season 2, “The Reaping,” a month-long, Halloween-themed season pass with its own Haunted Chest rewards.

Kintara players can now farm Candy Corn and spend it on seasonal mounts, pets and cosmetics. The Solana MMO’s Halloween event runs until Nov. 2.

“Halloween has taken over Kintara!” the team said in a post on X.

Candy Corn comes from three sources: monsters, fishing and woodcutting. Players take it to the Candy Witch and trade it for a Pumpkin Carriage mount, a Ghost pet, a Spider Cape and other items. The post didn’t list the full reward set or the Candy Corn prices.

“Dusk has fallen across the world,” the post said. It directed players to kintara.com.

Chests, masks and furniture

The Candy Corn exchange adds to Halloween content the team announced on Oct. 21. “Halloween has taken over Kintara. Haunted Chests, limited cosmetics, rare Zombie Mask drops, event mounts, pets, furniture and more are now live,” @PlayKintara said at the time.

Event furniture goes into Apartments, which arrived in version 3.6. That update also added a multi-tier banking system.

Season 2 runs in parallel

Season 2, “The Reaping,” is a month-long Season Pass with a Halloween theme. It offers resource rewards, Haunted Chests and cosmetics, and both of its tracks run to 1,200,000 XP.

The free track starts with 150+ Wood and 100+ Stone at 500 XP. Five Haunted Chests unlock at 200,000 XP, a Season 2 T-shirt at 450,000 XP and a Season 2 Hat at 800,000 XP. The track ends with the Season 2 Crescent at 1,200,000 XP.

Kintara Club members, reported at more than 800, get a separate track. It includes a Reaper Hood at 50,000 XP, a Soul Scythe at 100,000 XP, gold versions of the seasonal clothing and a Season 2 Aura at 1,200,000 XP.

Season 1 ran from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30.

A busy October

The Halloween content follows two content drops earlier in the month. On Oct. 7 the team added Sunken Isles, the game’s first open-water biome, with coral reefs, shipwrecks and ultra-rare drops.

Bows followed a day later as Kintara’s first ranged weapon. They cost 50 gold and have a one-in-three chance to land a 40-damage hit.

Mounts have also been leaving circulation. The Stablemaster Gilding feature drove 3,829 mount burns in two days.

Background

Kintara launched May 22, 2026, as a browser-based isometric MMO on Solana. A player’s Solana wallet is their account, and nothing has to be downloaded. Players gather, craft, quest and fight in PvE and PvP.

The game runs two currencies. Gold covers quests, shop purchases, cosmetics and most player-to-player trades, while $KINS is the on-chain token. Players can earn $KINS by selling gold on the Marketplace, winning PvP wagers in the Wilderness or pulling rare fishing drops.

Kintara passed 20,000 monthly active users over the summer, and Dune data cited at the time put in-game market volume above $450,000. The game was later reported at 30,000 monthly active users.

Marketplace sales settled in $KINS send 95% to the seller, and the other 5% is split between a token burn and the treasury. Paid spinner spins cost $3 worth of $KINS each, with 50% burned and 50% sent to the game treasury.
