“Raw instinct returns to Olderfall,” the studio said in the post announcing the season. “Begin the hunt July 31.”
What came before
Season 6 replaces “Auric Dominion,” which launched June 1 and ran through the end of July. That season built its story around corruption spreading through the Arena and gave players an exclusive weapon, the Sanguine Dominion, with Vermithar and Pearlwhisper arriving as Featured Foundry Weapons.
The first season set the template. It shipped a 60-day Battle Pass, rotating PvE challenges and weekly tournaments paying $750 in USDC, with NFT rewards, weapon and armor chests and the in-game currency Vitrium. Season 1 closed Nov. 21.
The token sits behind all of it
Anubika, the South American studio behind Olderfall, ran a community round for wAURE in early June. Purchases were made in USDC on Polygon, and the studio said it weighted access toward players who compete regularly rather than buyers looking for a quick flip.
The terms are unusual. Tokens bought in the round stay bound to the purchasing wallet and can’t be moved, so buyers had to use their Olderfall wallet. Spending wAURE in-game removes it from circulation. Liquidity is slated for a later phase.
The studio has described the token, which it calls the Master’s Coin, as the currency for tournament entries, crafting and other systems.
Immutable and the platform layer
Immutable and Olderfall announced the game's arrival on Immutable Play on March 16, tying quests and rewards to in-game activity. Olderfall also appears in “Gaming on Polygon,” the Polygon hub inside Immutable Play.
Immutable Play runs its own reward currency, also called Gems, which players exchange at 500 Gems per Key for entry into a weekly draw for IMX, bonus Gems, Tier Ups and extra entries. Participation requires an Immutable Passport wallet. An Immutable x Olderfall leaderboard ran May 1 through May 31 with 100,000 wAURE on offer.
DappRadar tracks the game on Polygon and Nebula/SKALE. Coverage elsewhere has listed Arbitrum, Avalanche and Moonbeam.
How it plays
Players run a roster of procedurally generated fighters called the Fallen, set composition and gear, then watch battles resolve on their own. Each match costs 10 energy against a daily pool of 100, with a point regenerating every five minutes.
Sign-up runs through Gmail at play.olderfall.com and comes with a free Fallen. No wallet is needed to start. Weekly tournaments run through N3MUS, which requires registration and a linked in-game wallet.
Anubika has more than six years in digital product development and three focused on blockchain. It spent two years building Olderfall before layering monetization on top, and the press release announcing the Immutable Play launch framed the goal as proving web3 games can be “fun first, sustainable, and widely accessible.”
“We chose Moonbeam because it’s one of the few ecosystems that shares our product-first mindset,” Leandro of Olderfall said in Moonbeam’s “Why I Build” series.
On the design, Leandro said: “Story comes from the world, gameplay comes from strategy, and Web3 ties it all together.”
