Twenty titles, no download
ONE store opened a dedicated AI Games tab on Aug. 7, launching with 20 titles built on Verse8 that run inside the app without a separate download. The section is live on Android.
The opening lineup includes “Ragnarok Breaker” and “Heros Unite.” Genres span idle RPGs, visual novels and 3D shooters.
AI Games has its own tab on ONEstore now.

Payments stay in ONE store. Users top up in-game currency and buy items through the store’s existing billing system rather than a external checkout.
ONE store said it’s the first app market to open a section devoted solely to AI-created games.
Coupons start Aug. 11
A launch promotion begins Aug. 11. Each time a user opens a different game in the tab, they get a 15% discount coupon on the spot, up to 10 coupons per person.
What Verse8 brings
On Verse8, creators don’t write code. They describe the game they want in natural language and the AI handles planning, graphics and gameplay rules. ONE store calls the approach “Vibe Coding.”
The platform has produced more than 25,000 games from about 5,000 creators and says it has reached 3.5 million monthly active users. Until now those games reached players only inside Verse8 itself.
That’s the trade. Verse8 supplies the catalog, and ONE store absorbs the store review, age rating classification and payment plumbing that individual creators normally handle themselves.
Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Nexus, said “AI is fundamentally changing how games are developed, and it will enable the creation of hundreds of thousands, even millions, of high-quality games every year.” He said ONE store had become “the world’s first AI game distribution platform” and would grow alongside advances in LLM models and the evolution of creators.
The Nexus takeover
Nexus closed its purchase of ONE store on June 18, taking an 84.63% stake for about 62.6 billion won from SK Square, Naver, Steel Number One First and Krafton. It holds 89.03% in total.
ONE store was founded in 2016 by SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus along with Naver, as a domestic alternative to Google Play and the App Store. It ships preinstalled on more than 38 million devices.
Distribution was the piece Nexus lacked. Jang, who ran Wemade before joining in January 2025, had already assembled a mainnet, wallet, exchange and stablecoin payment layer, but Google and Apple restrict games carrying blockchain features, NFTs or integrated wallets, pushing developers to strip that functionality to pass review.
ONE store joined CROSS Protocol as its third validator on July 15, alongside H Lab and CertiK, running node infrastructure on Mainnet 2.0. Nexus plans to rename the CROSS mainnet OneChain and the $CROSS token $ONE.
Prior ties
Nexus and Verse8 have worked together since signing a partnership last year, co-hosting the CROSS Game Jam in November. Nexus joined Verse8’s $5 million seed round in March, alongside Story Foundation, NEXPACE, Neowiz, MARBLEX and Solarium Labs.
Verse8 also integrates with Story, which registers game assets and derivatives on chain and routes attribution back to original creators. Moonbirds and Azuki IP are coming to the platform under that arrangement.
The company was founded by JC Kim and Kevin Lee. “Just 3 million creators globally produce interactive content, and the top 20 studios control 70% of all production,” Lee said when the seed round was announced.
