What’s in the zone
Ronin listed three things: exploring prototype maps, completing new story quests and attempting to take down Baphomet. “Midgard is calling, @ROLAmericas Alpha Zone awaits,” Ronin said in the post.
It’s the first Alpha Zone the Americas team has opened since the servers launched.
Who runs it
ROLA operates on Ronin under a Gravity license covering North America and Latin America. Maxion Tech Co., Ltd. holds the publishing rights.
The economy runs on ION, with Moonstones as the premium in-game currency. Maxion also operates a marketplace for in-game assets and a Universal Exchange containing a Token Exchange and a Zeny Exchange.
Players sign in through Ronin to reach a Universal Mailbox, NFT inventory, staking and token minting, and to send items to a character’s Rodex mailbox or list them on the marketplace.
The road to launch
Maxion opened pre-registration for the Americas servers in November 2025 and sold ROLV Packs through the Ronin Store beginning Nov. 13. A closed beta ran Nov. 20 through Nov. 26, and pre-registration was required to get in.
The North and Latin American servers went live in December 2025. Launch content included a Mission Event, a Guild Level Rush and the first season of Monster Hunting.
What shipped in 2026
Content has arrived at a regular clip since. January’s “Awakening of the New World” delivered scrolls including Holy Defender, Sacred Fist, Atomic, Crimson Stalker, Iron Heart, Darkness Fang, Luxury Hunting and Fallen Angels. February brought “Brilliant Celebration,” built around Worthless Wonders content and a Refine Challenge.
Later patches unlocked Port Malaya and Bangungot’s Hospital, added the Buwaya and Bakonawa exterminations and ran the “Final Bond of Midgard” and “Eclipse of Landverse: Ayotaya” events. An EP 14.2 Eclage patch followed with the Laphine capital, new weapons and Malangdo enchants.
Quality-of-life work has been quieter but constant. Maxion placed an NPC Resetter in Izlude at coordinates 128, 149, capped accounts at 10 resets and made the first five free.
Then came the Aug. 13 gameplay update, with the full patch notes posted to the ROLA news site rather than in the announcement itself. Maxion routes Americas community feedback to Gravity’s development team, and its roadmap calls for continued additions of maps, classes and gameplay features.
Maxion’s last large-scale test on these servers came with a reward tier attached. Players who reached Level 90 before the November beta closed received a costume Arc Angelring Hat plus Mana, Orange and Health Potions.
