Ronin’s third Proof of Distribution season wraps up
The Ronin blockchain has concluded its third Proof of Distribution season, distributing rewards to 163 builders based on an algorithmic score reflecting app performance. This scoring system considers factors such as gas usage, user activity, retention, NFT volume, DEX liquidity, and smart contract execution, utilizing data from Dune.
Axie Infinity topped the leaderboard, scoring 570 thanks to an impressive 7.6 million contract calls and strong DEX activity. The project received 85,170 RON, valued at around $4,300. Craft World followed closely, securing second place with 53,275 RON ($2,600), outperforming competitors in gas consumption and direct engagement. Ragnarok Landverse America clinched third with 38,228 RON ($1,900), recognized for its active NFT marketplace and contract interactions.
The season saw a pronounced concentration of rewards, with the top five applications accounting for a dominant share of the 236,000 RON distributed. Other notable performances included Pixels (official site), which recorded 1.4 million contract calls but fell short in snapshot growth, landing seventh with 21,055 RON. Titles like Wild Forest (official site), Chicken Saga, and Fableborne (official site) also scored well through NFT transaction activity.
The rewards distribution exhibited a significant power-law effect, with scores dropping sharply after the 20th rank. Ranks 23 through 35 received identical payouts, largely due to minimal DEX and NFT engagement.
Looking ahead, builders face a clear directive for Season 04: elevate multi-channel engagement, retention, and trading volume to enhance their standings.
