Rockstar and Sony have revealed a GTA 6 accessory that actually earns the word premium, and the detail that sells it is one you can only really appreciate with the controller in your hands.
The two companies have partnered on new GTA 6 DualSense controllers, arriving in black or white.
The Vice City color story
Each one carries the VI logo and palm tree patterns, plus a blue and purple gradient that pulls straight from Vice City’s aesthetics.
And here’s the part that separates this from every other licensed controller gathering dust on a shelf. The palm tree patterns are embossed into the controllers, which makes them good-looking and potentially adds to the grip.
What it costs and when you can get one
Pre-orders open on PlayStation Direct on September 10. The controllers arrive November 19.
They’ll retail for $84.99, a number that may reflect the premium styling they feature.
The disc question nobody has dropped
These are attractive premium accessories. But a lot of gamers wish they could pair them with disc versions of GTA 6 itself.
We already know Rockstar has no plans to release the game on disc on PlayStation. That hasn’t stopped the requests, and it’s hard to imagine the studio hasn’t noticed its fans are still asking.
So the shelf will hold a controller with palm trees pressed into it, and nothing to sit beside it in a case.
