In Brief
- Z.ink Launches Alpha Test: The closed alpha test for Z.ink, a new blockchain developed by ATMTA for the Star Atlas ecosystem, began on October 30, requiring an access code for participation.
- Token Airdrop and zProfile Integration: Participants can establish a digital identity via zProfile, accumulating gamified experience points (zXP) that determine their share of the upcoming $ZINK token airdrop.
- Network and Token Details: Z.ink aims to mitigate high transaction fees and delays by running independently, offering a significant reduction in transaction costs compared to its predecessor networks.
ATMTA, the creators behind the gaming universe Star Atlas, have rolled out a new blockchain platform named Z.ink. This platform, which is in its alpha testing phase starting October 30, aims to address the common challenges of cost and scalability faced by web3 gaming platforms. Z.ink operates as an SVM Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for robust, high-traffic gaming applications, providing a solution for efficient, low-cost on-chain activities.
Alpha Testing and Airdrop Roadmap
The current phase, known as the alpha test season, is crucial for fine-tuning Z.ink before the official launch of the $ZINK token. Entry into this phase is limited to participants who have received an access code. These testers will benefit from the ability to maintain their achieved zProfile progress, up to 20 levels into the subsequent airdrop campaign, effectively giving them a head start.
Participants need to repost certain announcements on social media and may be selected to receive an access code. Once received, creating a zProfile involves a minor fee paid in $SOL, the native cryptocurrency of the Solana network, from which Z.ink has evolved.
Platform Capabilities and Innovations
Z.ink distinguishes itself by guaranteeing compatibility with existing Solana platforms while functioning independently to prevent issues like the transaction delays and fee inflations recently observed with Solana. The new blockchain promises transaction fees reduced by more than 99% due to the utilization of $ZINK, its native lower-cost token. At launch, Z.ink is expected to support around 20 transactions per second, outpacing many established Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks.
The zProfile Experience
A key feature of Z.ink is its zProfile system, a digital identity mechanism that tracks player activities, converting them into zXP points. This system not only offers a web3 single sign-on solution but enriches user interaction by allowing them to build a reputation and gain additional benefits based on their platform engagement. Privacy is maintained via zero-knowledge proofs, and additional features like dApp permissions and optional KYC enhancements are available.
Airdrop Phases and Tokenomics
The Z.ink airdrop is segmented into three phases. Following the initial alpha test, the Origin Airdrop Season is scheduled for late December 2025, marking the first major distribution of $ZINK tokens based on user activities within the Star Atlas games and marketplace. A substantial 10% of the token’s total supply is allocated to this campaign.
The final phase, Airdrop & Genesis, anticipated around March 2026, will coincide with the broader network launch and the introduction of the Sage C4 mainnet, evolving it into a comprehensive 4X game.
Decentralization and Future Outlook
Although initially permissioned to ensure operational stability and lower fees, the goal is to transition Z.ink to full decentralization within two years. The governance model will evolve, allowing more stakeholders to participate as validators through staking $ZINK tokens. Alongside, an inflationary model is planned to stimulate staking and validator participation, progressively reducing over eight years.
In essence, Z.ink is not merely a blockchain solution but a foundational component for the future development of the Star Atlas ecosystem, designed to streamline user experience and economic efficiency in web3 gaming.
