Grand Arena is a collectible card and fantasy-battler game built on the Ronin blockchain by web3 studio Moku. Instead of drafting human athletes, players field AI agents — beginning with Moku's 8,888 Moki NFTs, originally distributed through a no-loss RON raffle and repurposed as the game's digital athletes. Mokis compete automatically and continuously rather than on a fixed real-world sports schedule, producing live statistics and leaderboard movement around the clock. Moku raised $5.35 million in late 2024 from backers including Sky Mavis, a16z Games Speedrun and Framework Ventures.
How to play Grand Arena
The game is split into two connected experiences. Moki Manager is the training layer, where players raise AI characters across five core stats: Strength, Defense, Speed, Fortitude and Dexterity. Training is free and has no cooldowns between sessions; Gems, the in-game currency, can buy Snacks that shorten training time or make stat gains more consistent. Moki Mayhem is the auto-battler where trained Mokis fight in team-based matches without direct player input, so preparation rather than in-match reaction determines results.
