Alien Worlds launches competitive events platform
Alien Worlds has unveiled an on-chain competition system, establishing a centralized portal for metaverse events. This system improves transparency with complete visibility of rules, tracking performance, and distributing rewards while integrating with various gaming and mining platforms.
The Alien Worlds user interface now serves as the access point for all competitions. Each event can offer rewards in Trilium, Shards, or both, and is designed to connect to other platforms such as STEAM and mobile games.
Competition framework
Competitions operate through a defined lifecycle: preparation/registration, gameplay, processing, auditing, and reward disbursement. Players can explore competitions by stage, review key details, register, track their scores, and claim rewards upon approval. Notably, completed competitions remain available for reference even after rewards are distributed.
Event creation and management
Anyone can initiate a competition by calling the initcomp function on the competitions contract. Creators define essential parameters, including title, description, times, player limits, and experience links. Rewards are awarded by transferring Trilium or using the addshards function, with multiple contributors permitted per event.
Admins are responsible for updating scores and assigning rewards post-event. Prize pools are pre-defined and become claimable after a thorough review. If a competition does not meet the criteria for approval, rewards are returned to contributors.
Future auditing and community engagement
Initially, competition reward auditing and approvals are managed by Galactic Hubs, though there are plans to hand over this responsibility to the community. This transition aims to enhance decentralization within the system.
Players and developers interested in setting up competitions can reach out to Evan at Galactic Hubs. Competitive sponsorships for Trilium and Shards are available following review.
