EV2 is an open-world battle royale shooter from Funtico, built on a science-fiction premise: an alien infestation threatens humanity, and the player is the chosen defender who has to gather alien technology and build a personalised EV2 suit to meet the invasion. The studio's shorthand for the loop is "shoot, loot, dominate the competition". ⚠️ EV2 has not launched — Funtico lists its release date as still to be revealed, and the site is a pre-launch page with a mailing list.
How to play EV2
The stated design combines exploration of an open world with scavenging: alien tech gathered in the field is what upgrades and personalises your suit, so progression is driven by what you recover rather than by a purchase. On top of that sit intense PvP modes and tournaments, which the developers describe as skill-decided. Because the game is unreleased, treat all of this as the published design rather than as something that has been played.

Our verdict on EV2
EV2 — Earth Version 2 — is Funtico's most ambitious project and the one furthest from your hands. The pitch is an open-world sci-fi shooter: an alien infestation has taken the planet, you are the defender sent to take it back, and progression runs through salvaged alien technology that you build into a personal EV2 suit. It is being made for PC first, with Steam and the Epic Games Store alongside Funtico's own launcher, and consoles named as a follow-up.
What sets it apart from most entries in this directory is who it is aimed at. Funtico has been open that the target is mainstream players, and the studio already operates a working platform with tournaments and cash prize pools rather than only a whitepaper. That is a better base than most unreleased crypto games start from.
The caution is the obvious one. There is no game to play yet. What is available today is a token sale for $EV2, with a fixed supply and a large share allocated to presale buyers, which means the earliest and most concentrated ownership is decided before anyone can judge the product. Buying into a shooter on the strength of its concept art is a different decision from buying into one you have played.
