Instead of splitting everything we’ve been building into a bunch of separate reveals, we decided to bring it all@RavenQuestView on X ↗
The studio said it decided against splitting what it has been building into a set of separate reveals and put everything in one event instead.
What Fortune’s Frontier is
Tavernlight published a first look at the mode on March 14, timed to RavenQuest’s one-year anniversary and an AMA. Six months on, the launch date is still unannounced.
Fortune’s Frontier is a seasonal PvPvE extraction mode set in an earlier chapter of the game’s history. It’s built around the wreck of The Dawn of Fortune and the treasure scattered across the Pirate Isles.
Players work three islands: Sajecho, Harbor and Gilead. Risk climbs by zone, from “Safe” areas up to “Full-Drop” PvP. The loop is short. Get in, take treasure, get out alive.
Veterans and new accounts both start with advanced-level characters, which strips out the progression gap that governs the main game. Each season closes with a reset. Tavernlight’s press materials described the mode as a “growth engine” carrying a seasonal Reward Pool that pays top performers, and positioned the main RavenQuest client as where players go once a season ends.
The three isles surround a hub city, also called Fortune’s Frontier, built out of the wreck. Adventurers prepare runs, store treasure and plan the next trip there.
Token and chain
QUEST runs on Immutable zkEVM. It’s the premium currency inside RavenQuest, covering monthly premium membership, cosmetics, effort potions, estate companions and silver purchases, and it also handles land upkeep, ability upgrades and marketplace trades. The studio has said it plans mobile development and possible token buybacks.
The game, previously named Ravendawn Eternal, is free to play and runs in a browser.
What shipped before the stream
RavenQuest released version 1.3.2, New Wilds, on Sept. 1. The patch added 13 hunting spots and roughly 4,200 creatures tuned for levels 90 to 98, spread across Ostera, Glaceforde, Elder Coast, Rohna Woods and the Frost Steppes.
Five of those locations landed in Ostera, including Direhorn Drakes and Stonelings beneath Tremoring Hills. Thormarok Mountain was unsealed. A server-wide blessing, Patron of the Realm, went live with the same update.
The patch also brought Disconnect Protection, Google Sign-In, Player Inspection, world map improvements and balance changes.
Classes come from archetypes. There are eight, players mix three at a time for 56 combinations, and the slots unlock at levels 1, 7 and 15. Archetypes can be swapped at any time. Naturalist and Ballistics were added in the Treasures Below update.
Ravendawn in the background
Ravendawn, the studio’s earlier isometric MMO, has gone through a long stretch without content. Tavernlight addressed the complaints in its Discord and said the game isn’t shutting down.
It blamed deployment problems and one other thing: the core development team is shared between both titles.
