How the score gets set
Premium score comes out of GIGACHADBAT’s Premium Mode, where players spend pBalls and apply score multipliers. Successful hits trigger Boost Card draws that can protect a score or increase rewards.
The downside is steep. An “Out” costs the full stake and a Foul triggers a penalty.
New token utility feeds the season
Grand Season 2 arrives on the back of two changes to what $CHAD actually does in the game. Players can now spend the token directly on Premium Balls, and stakers get larger score boosters.
Staking was the token’s entire in-game function before that, returning free pBalls for daily quests and premium matches plus event access and staking-gated modes tied to league progression.
Tiers run off a seven-day average. The system logs a player’s lowest staked balance from the previous 24 hours each day at 00:00 UTC, then averages seven of those readings, so a one-day spike won’t push anyone into a higher bracket. There’s no cooldown and no lock-in period.
Delabs Play replaced YGG Play
Reward routing moved to Delabs on Aug. 1, after Yield Guild Games shut its publishing arm. YGG Play went dark July 31 with the loss of 35 jobs, and YGG pivoted toward supplying data to AI companies.
GIGACHADBAT returned to Delabs in the handover and Ragnarok Breaker went to Planetarium Labs. LOL Land and Waifu Sweeper were retired outright. Purchase functions and platform mission systems for both had already been switched off at 3 p.m. Singapore time on July 9.
Premium points were wiped in the transition. Every premium point earned before the Aug. 1 snapshot is being airdropped as $YGG, and everything earned since is redeemable on Delabs Play.
Token background
$CHAD debuted on the YGG Play Launchpad in February, built on Abstract, with supply capped at 5,000,000,000 tokens. The presale ran Feb. 4 through Feb. 6 and deployment followed Feb. 13 at a $500,000 fully diluted valuation. Trading stays on decentralized exchanges; centralized listings aren’t planned.
The Play-to-Airdrop program allocated 10% of supply across two seasons. Season 1 ran Jan. 21 to Feb. 3, distributed 5% and tallied in-game spend going back to September.
YGG Play’s lifetime revenue topped $9.6 million, with $8.59 million of that coming from LOL Land (official site) alone. The platform booked more than $541,000 in the second quarter of 2026 across LOL Land, Waifu Sweeper and GIGACHADBAT.
Gabby Dizon, co-founder of Yield Guild Games, said revenue peaked in October 2025 and pointed to the Oct. 10 liquidation event for draining confidence and liquidity among the casual degen audience. The 2026 YGG Play Summit was canceled.
“Sunsetting YGG Play is a heavy decision, but it is a market decision, not a product decision,” Dizon said.
