Ronin puts Calamity’s Dragon Rings in front of holders as the game’s Founders NFT collection

Ronin is promoting Calamity’s Dragon Rings to its users, calling the collection the game’s Founders NFTs and linking to it on Ronin Market.

“Dragon Rings are Calamity’s Founders NFT collection,” Ronin said in a post on X. “Each Ring unlocks exclusive onchain and in-game benefits for holders, including boosts inside Calamity.”

The post didn’t list the boosts or say how large they are.

Built from burned Artifacts

The Rings came out of Calamity’s move from Treasure to Ronin. The studio left Treasure after that platform changed strategy and dropped support for third-party games.

Converting NFTs was the first stage of the move. Starting April 28, holders of Calamity’s Artifact NFTs, which were minted on Base, could migrate them. A player burned an Artifact through the migration interface and a matching Dragon Ring dropped straight into their connected Ronin wallet. No claim transaction was needed.

Calamity has described the Rings as legacy items for early contributors and long-time players. Along with cosmetic value, they give access to some staking and future reward paths in the game’s $WYRM economy. They don’t replace the gear and skill progression players earn through play.

On the market

Rings trade on Ronin Market as ERC-721 tokens under contract 0x58fac88b5899fd894fb7153d3c8a12db05333ac5, with a 4.25% creator fee. Each Ring carries traits including Gem Color and Type. Blue is one gem color and Zephyr is one type.

Ronin has given Rings away before. In September 2025 it sent one to the winner of a Calamity wishlist contest.

Factories and $WYRM

The Rings aren’t Calamity’s only NFTs. The studio has also announced Factory NFTs, a collection of 9,999 player-owned production spaces tied to $WYRM.

Every Tier 1 Factory holder can earn up to 5,500 $WYRM in total through airdrops and staking, according to the announcement.

Since moving to Ronin, Calamity has rebuilt its infrastructure. The work added upgrades for Artifact-based NFTs and rewards backed by smart contracts, and the rollout is planned over several seasons.

The game

Calamity is a real-time 2D action MMORPG from Calamity Studios, now in open beta. It’s free to play, and players don't need a wallet or any NFTs to start.

The game has three classes, more than 40 skills, 30 customizable stats and more than 150 items that players can loot, trade or equip. Dungeon raids, survival challenges and open trading make up the core loop.

Earlier in 2025 the studio wrapped up its Play-to-Airdrop campaigns, paying rewards to players who joined dungeon runs and beta progression events. Guild content has grown since the open beta began, and coordinated dungeon clears and resource sharing now play a bigger part in the game.

The Artifacts that became Rings no longer exist. Each one was burned on Base when its owner received a Dragon Ring on Ronin.
