Legend of YMIR (official site), WEMADE’s Unreal Engine 5 MMORPG, has been live worldwide for a year, and its first-anniversary update is out now. It adds a new Assassin class and a second Boot Camp server that speeds up levelling. A content roadmap runs from October through December.
The game is playable now. It’s set in a dark take on Norse mythology, and large-scale Server Battles are a big part of play. WEMADE says it has kept updates and events coming since launch. This one is aimed at players already in the game and at anyone starting fresh or coming back.
The Assassin class and Boot Camp Season 2
WEMADE describes the Assassin as an agile, high-impact fighter that plays differently from the existing classes. Class change support is included, so current players can switch to it without losing the character progress they've already built.
Boot Camp Season 2 is a separate growth server for new and returning players. It gives +600% EXP up to Level 65, along with hunting buffs and levelling support items. The goal is to let newer characters catch up to veteran players quickly.
Anniversary rewards
- Pre-registration passed 100,000 participants. That milestone earns every active player the 1st Anniversary Legendary Companion, and pre-registrants also get exclusive bonus rewards.
- Finishing in-game missions during the anniversary event earns a Legendary-grade Disir and Valkyrie.
- The Einherjar Fellowship referral event rewards players who invite new or returning players. Invited players earn rewards by accepting an invitation and completing set missions. Inviters get tiered rewards based on how many fellowships are completed. The rewards are Epic- and Legendary-grade items, and top-ranking inviters can earn Mythical-grade rewards.
- Community events on the official social channels offer extra prizes to players who share anniversary messages and post in-game screenshots.
What’s coming in December
Mythical-grade Disirs and Valkyries arrive in December. A 14-day check-in event for Boot Camp participants starts alongside them. Players who join the Boot Camp server after the anniversary event can still take part in the check-in, which gives a Legendary-grade Valkyrie on Day 7 and a Legendary-grade Disir on Day 14.
Michael Kim, Head of Business Division at WEMADE, said: “This first anniversary is a tribute to the passion and dedication of our global community. We have intentionally curated an extensive content roadmap designed to reward loyal veterans while providing a streamlined onboarding pathway for newcomers and returning players. With sustained updates leading into December and an upcoming YMIR Cup Season 3, we look forward to delivering even deeper immersion within the Legend of YMIR universe in the year ahead.”
WEMADE has not given a date for YMIR Cup Season 3. Full event details are on the official Legend of YMIR website and Discord.
