To enter, players open the Battle Arena and tap “Play the challenge”.

How the pot is split

The player guide says the challenge runs on a UTC day. The entry is paid in SEASON when a run starts, and the mode costs no energy. Any farm can play as many times as it wants, and only its best run of the day counts.

Runs are ranked by enemies defeated. Ties on that count are broken by the wave reached.

After 00:00 UTC, the top 10 share 80% of the day’s entries and the other 20% goes to the reward pool. On days with fewer than 10 players, every entry is given back.

Boosts

Before a run, players can buy boosts, which are paid in SEASON along with the entry. The cap is $0.50 a run, and each boost lasts for one run only.

The Sharpening stone costs $0.10 and starts the run with Whetted blade, worth +15% damage. The Leather apron is also $0.10 and gives Thick apron, cutting damage taken by 8%. Running shoes are $0.05 for Light boots and +10% speed. Storm in a jar is $0.05 too and starts the storm fully charged.

The Health potion, at $0.15, triggers by itself when health runs low and restores 40 health. Second wind costs $0.25. The first time the farmer falls, it brings them back with half their health.

Money spent on boosts goes to the reward pool, the same as any other purchase. Boosts are used up during the run, so they aren’t refunded when a day’s entries are given back.

The standard arena

The Daily Challenge runs alongside the main Battle Arena, where a farmer defends the farm against waves of monsters. Each life there costs five energy. Loot from enemies is added to the player’s balance, up to the daily battle limit for their level.

Every player gets 100 free energy a day, refreshed at local midnight. Planting, harvesting, collecting products and feeding usually cost two energy each. Energy packs come in sizes of 10, 50 and 100, and the energy in them never expires.

The arena unlocks at Town Hall Level 1 and is free to play. Town Hall level, from one to five, sets how much a farm can earn per day. The guide puts the Level 1 cap at $1.50 a day, while Level 5 goes “up to ×26.7 of level 1.”

Players also race in the Arena Cup, the game’s paid weekly competition.

Token and reward pool

Farming Season runs on Robinhood Chain and charges a one-time entry fee of $1 in ETH. The team said SEASON went live on Oct. 19 at contract address 0xea0071a8778fa02c12378e88868255e0e0952be6, adding that “This is the only official contract.”

The game settles on-chain every 10 minutes. Of all player spending, 25% is burned and 75% goes to the reward pool. That split is reversed during recovery mode.

Other payouts also come from the reward pool. The top three clans split token prizes each week after Monday 00:00 UTC, and a separate $500 daily Creator Pool is split in SEASON among the top 100 creators of each UTC day.

The team said the game passed 20,000 farms about two weeks after launch.

“In just two weeks, 20,000 farms have been planting, crafting, fighting in the Battle Arena and racing in the Arena Cup,” the team said.
