Illuvium pushed Arena Update 1.17.10 live, a balance patch that hands Stage 3 Lynxes a permanent stacking buff and reworks four synergies.
Stage 3 Lynxes now permanently stack affinity-specific stats on every Omega cast, according to the studio. It’s the headline change in a patch aimed at reshaping which team comps hold up in the current meta.
lluvium: Arena Update 1.17.10 is LIVE!
We’re keeping the balance updates rolling to refine the meta and fine-tune the battlefield experience:
→ Stage 3 Lynx Buffs: Stage 3 Lynxes now permanently stack affinity-specific stats on every Omega cast!
→ Matchmaking Tuning: Adjusting bot difficulty below the 1280 rating threshold for better match pacing.
→ Synergy Reworks: Phantom gets an energy-steal first hit; Bloom, Revenant & Templar receive durability/power buffs.
→ Weapons & Augments: Key buffs to weapons like Tempest Lance & Earthgrasp Sceptre + balance pass on overperforming amplifiers.@illuviumioView on X ↗
The synergy pass touches four lines. Phantom picks up an energy-steal first hit. Bloom, Revenant and Templar each get durability or power buffs, the studio said.
Weapons and augments
Illuvium buffed several weapons, including the Tempest Lance and the Earthgrasp Sceptre. The patch also runs a balance pass on amplifiers the team flagged as overperforming.
The weapon changes sit alongside the augment tuning as part of the same effort to close the gap between top-tier and underused gear.
Matchmaking
The update adjusts bot difficulty below the 1280 rating threshold. Illuvium said the goal is better match pacing for players under that mark, where bots fill out lobbies.
“We’re keeping the balance updates rolling to refine the meta and fine-tune the battlefield experience,” the studio said.
1.17.10 continues a run of frequent balance patches in the 1.17.x series, which has already reworked synergies like Frost, Harbinger and Mud and tuned down lines such as Elk, Penguin and Mammoth.
Arena is the auto-battler in Illuvium’s game lineup, where players draft Illuvials and trigger Omega abilities once a unit banks enough energy. Affinities govern how fast and how hard those Omegas land, which is what the Stage 3 Lynx change now feeds on every cast.
The game’s ranked Gauntlet mode pays out ILV through Rewards v2, with a base weekly pool that scales as the paying player count grows.
None of the economic layer changes in 1.17.10. The patch stays inside the battlefield, where a Stage 3 Lynx can now walk out of a long fight measurably stronger than it walked in.
