Nomgar Clash launches with NFT conversion tool
Nomgar Clash is now live, introducing its conversion tool, the Forge, which allows players to transform unused NFTs into playable cards. This feature targets assets from games that have ceased operations, providing a way for players to salvage value from stranded tokens.
The Forge accepts NFTs from five collections: RagMon, Tribesters, TMA, Fishing Frenzy, and Apeiron (official site). Each collection presents its own rewards and limitations. RagMon holders benefit most, as their NFTs retain rarity and level during conversion. Approximately 150,000 RagMon NFTs qualify for this process, while others rely on fixed rewards based on their collection.
Players can initiate the conversion by linking wallets, selecting NFTs, and submitting the burn transaction, all while covering network fees. This process is irreversible; burned NFTs are permanently lost. The Forge serves a specific audience: holders of tokens tied to games like Ragnarok: Monster World, which remain inactive after the game’s closure.
Gameplay mechanics
Nomgar Clash is a real-time monster battler featuring quick matches, where decks consist of eight cards and gameplay lasts three minutes. Players employ lane control strategies, deploying autonomous units to manage combat. The main objective is to outlast the opponent’s Nexus towers.
The game offers 47 playable Nomgarmons at launch, with plans for additional characters. The current deck-building options maintain accessibility for newcomers without overwhelming them.
Free-to-play model
Nomgar Clash operates free to play in the browser, providing new accounts with starter decks. Monthly ranked seasons require no entry fees or season passes, making competition accessible without financial barriers. Prize pools are distributed in bRON, a currency tied to RON on the Ronin chain, ensuring rewards circulate within the Moku ecosystem.
Cards obtained through the Forge can be traded on Mavis Market, allowing further engagement in the game’s economy.
Strategic release timing
The conversion feature arrives amid a surplus of NFTs abandoned by projects that are no longer active. Unlike one-off promotional tools, integrating the Forge at launch opens player acquisition channels without necessitating new minting. This strategy can attract RagMon holders to engage without significant costs.
Developing a unified ecosystem
Moku aims to create an interconnected gaming ecosystem, enabling characters and worlds to expand across multiple titles rather than residing solely in one game. Following Nomgar Clash, Grand Arena Season 2 is set for October 2026, with Super Battle Moki in November and an action RPG planned for 2027.
The Moki digital cards serve as key assets within this ecosystem, allowing players to compete across various games. Progression is tracked through mXP, which players earn via leaderboard rankings, card collection, and contest participation.
This structure, built on Ronin, offers players a lasting utility for their NFTs, distancing them from the lifespan limitations of the games they were originally tied to. Nomgar Clash is now playable at nomgar.com, and the Forge is accessible for all eligible NFT collections.
