Registration for MM3 runs through Echelon’s Versus tournament site. Parallel didn’t announce the format, field size or prize details for the third event. It said more information about the CC Cup will come next week.
Last bid on the table
Each Monthly Melee winner gets a spot in the CC Cup. So MM3 is the last chance to earn an invitation through the series before the Oct. 29 event.
The Oct. 29 date is still tentative. Parallel hasn’t said how many players will make up the CC Cup field or whether anyone will get in through some other route.
Ladder-gated entry
The Monthly Melee is open only to players who finished in the Top 100 of the previous month’s ranked ladder. There’s no open registration, side qualifier or wildcard WC $0.0002885 ▼ -26.6% path.
Players had to be inside the Top 100 when the season rolled over to qualify for Monthly Melee 2, which Parallel scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9. Parallel hasn’t announced MM2 results.
How the series started
Parallel ran the first Monthly Melee as a four-round, best-of-one Swiss event. It expanded the field from 16 to 24 players before the event, with customizable prizes and a CC Cup bid going to the winner.
DualNoteTCG won MM1. Parallel said the player came in 28th on the leaderboard and beat the sixth, 10th, 12th and 13th place players on the way to a CC Cup spot.
The Monthly Melee is part of Parallel’s Community Clash structure, which links its recurring grassroots tournaments to the CC Cup. The same program includes events like CC7, a Haven set tournament where decks could only use cards from the latest expansion.
The 28th-ranked player who won MM1 still holds the only CC Cup seat Parallel has announced publicly.
