Fortune’s Frontier launches on October 16
RavenQuest will roll out its new game mode, Fortune's Frontier, on October 16 at 8:00 AM PT. This fantasy extraction mode is designed for both solo players and duos. Players will loot gear, hunt for rare treasure, and survive threats from creatures and rival players, all while attempting to safely return their haul to base.
Each season, which lasts two weeks, resets competition across Solo and Clan Leaderboards. Players can build a legacy, allowing for a fresh start every season while maintaining a record of their progress.
Risk and reward
Fortune’s Frontier features three Pirate Isles, each offering distinct risk levels. The safest zone, Sajecho, has easier enemies and players only lose the treasure they carry upon death. Harbor increases the risk; while treasure drops more frequently, players lose both inventory and treasure upon death, exposing their loot to rivals.
Gilead is the most dangerous zone, containing the rarest treasures, but death results in losing everything, including current gear. This structure allows cautious players to steadily farm in Sajecho while high-risk players hunt for premium loot in Gilead.
An Energy system limits the amount of time players can access each area per day, equalizing opportunity for players with varying time commitments.
The core gameplay loop
The primary gameplay loop includes exploring, hunting, looting, and stashing loot. Players will find Treasure Pouches and Treasure Chests, as well as ancient Munk Songs. Successful extraction requires players to return safely to Fortune’s Frontier, a city built from shipwrecks, where loot converts into Silver.
Equipment is found rather than carried into battle, creating a scramble for gear each season. Players select a Trinket before each venture, offering advantages that range from combat enhancements to survival tools.
Characters start at an advanced level, allowing instant engagement with the core experience without lengthy leveling.
Reward structure
Performance-dependent rewards will accumulate in a growing Reward Pool over each season. Players receive a share based on the amount of Silver converted from treasure. Additionally, unique seasonal items will be introduced on top of the existing pool.
Pre-registration is now available, offering early signups exclusive rewards such as a pet and a weapon called Warforge. The new mode integrates into the existing token economy, feeding into the buyback and burn cycles of the QUEST token.
The lead-up: Frontier Carnival
The recent update, Frontier Carnival, went live on September 19 and runs until September 29. This update introduced ten new pets, including five Legendary companions, and expanded maximum pet capacity. Two new Tiger mounts and exclusive trophies were also added.
The Lucky Wheel now features milestone rewards, incentivizing player engagement. A Clan system has also been input, allowing players to group up ahead of Clan Leaderboards launching on October 16.
