Artyfact has cut the Arena Duel ticket price from 5 USDT to 1 USDT, effective September 15, 2026. This 80 percent reduction follows feedback from players noting that the original price limited participation.
The new pricing structure lowers the cost for ten duels from 50 USDT to just 10 USDT. This significant shift eases the financial burden on players, particularly those treating the game as entertainment. It also provides a larger pool of opponents, making matches easier to find and allowing newer players to gain experience without excessive risk.
10 Percent Fee Drives ARTY Buybacks
The Arena matches carry a 10 percent platform fee, which funds ARTY buybacks rather than serving as revenue for the studio. Each duel played decreases the available supply of ARTY by removing a portion of the stake as fees, which are then used to purchase ARTY from the market.
This mechanic complements Artyfact’s ongoing buyback and burn program, which is already funded by a similar percentage from marketplace NFT sales. The ARTY token has a capped supply of 25 million tokens with no further issuance planned, positioning this fee structure as a key sink for token activity.
Daily Play Hours for Better Matchmaking
Artyfact has instituted three daily Arena Play Hours to enhance matchmaking: 00:00 to 02:00 UTC, 13:00 to 15:00 UTC, and 18:00 to 20:00 UTC. These time windows are recommendations, allowing players to find matches more easily during peak hours while keeping the Arena open at all times.
This approach targets player distribution across regions, accommodating Americas, Europe, and parts of Asia within the specified slots. Concentrating players during designated times is a common strategy in smaller games to foster a sense of activity and ensure rapid matchmaking.
