- The announcement gave players three objectives: recover stolen supplies, defeat the robbers and restore peace.
- The content drop lands while the company is mid-pivot from sleep-to-earn into an AI wellness platform, with 2.2 million all-time users and a token launch still undated.
Sleepagotchi pushed a new level live, Robbery Road, built around an enemy faction the studio calls the Darklings.
“The Darklings have taken control,” the company said in its announcement. “Travellers are losing supplies, the road has fallen silent, and no one feels safe anymore.”

Players are told to “Recover what’s been stolen, defeat the robbers, and restore peace once again.” The post signs off with “Good luck, Dino,” the name of the companion character players progress alongside.
The studio didn’t publish reward tables, drop rates or hero requirements for the level in the announcement.
Content drops while the product changes underneath
Robbery Road arrives during a rebuild. In May, Sleepagotchi announced it was moving beyond gamified sleep-to-earn and repositioning as what it calls “The Intelligence Layer for the Wellness Economy,” an AI platform tying together users, agents, wearables, wellness tools and marketplace partners.
Kenny Wood was named CEO to run that phase. Founding CEO Anton Kraminkin, previously in product leadership at Duolingo and holder of an MBA from Harvard Business School, shifted to a strategic advisor role covering long-term vision, partnerships and the gamification thesis behind the company’s early growth.
Wood spent more than two decades in games before the job, with credits on Transformers, Formula 1, World Rally Championship, Bionicle and Matt Hoffman’s Pro BMX, plus leadership roles at VSTEP and Moonlander, where he was CTO before Alpha 3D acquired it.
The pivot shipped alongside an AI Sleep Coach MVP, the first of four chained agents. The others are a Wellness Agent covering mood, diet, caffeine and alcohol, a Meal Planner and a Shopping Agent.
The numbers
Sleepagotchi passed 2.2 million all-time users across the main mobile app and its LITE companion, with daily active users at 78,688. The company credited momentum from the Sleep Coach launch, with DAUs re-accelerating in June.
The main app pulled in more than 300,000 new unique users on iOS and Android over a trailing 12 months, peaking near 180,000 in a single month.
Usage clusters at both ends of the day. Sleepagotchi describes a “barbell” pattern, with activity concentrated in the first 10 minutes after waking and the last 30 minutes before bed, averaging 1.5 sessions per day. It says 78% of users open the app within 10 minutes of waking, and that third-party retention data shows 41% still active a year after signing up, against 10% to 20% for conventional sleep apps.
Tracking runs off phone sensors by default, with the company claiming more than 90% wake-detection accuracy from its own machine learning. Whoop, Oura and Apple Watch integrations are live, but no wearable is required.
Token still pending
The in-game preview currency vSLEEP is earned through sleep streaks, referrals, leaderboard placement and Hunt Mode battles, and it feeds airdrop allocation. It’s meant to convert to $SLEEP on Solana at a TGE the company hasn’t dated.
Players collected vSLEEP during a three-week app preview that ran July 29 to Aug. 19, 2025, after which the app went offline while the team prepared for distribution. All of it counts toward the airdrop.
The next phase of the business is built around recurring utility rather than emissions: AI agent credits, subscription benefits, staked user levels, gamified wellness access, partner campaigns and marketplace participation.
Background
Sleepagotchi was incubated by CoinList and Alliance DAO and raised $3.5 million in seed funding from Santiago R. Santos, Shima Capital, 1kx, Sfermion and 6th Man Ventures, among others. It has raised $6.5 million for the AI wellness plan.
Sleepagotchi LITE (official site), the Telegram mini app that requires no sleep data, cleared two million all-time users and ranked top-five grossing on the platform in Q1 2025. In the LITE economy, hero level and star level both matter to progression starting from Constellation 10, a balance change the team made after deciding the game had lost strategic depth when players could push forward with five or six upgraded heroes.
“Users are generating the world’s most valuable biometric data daily, and yet they own none of it,” Wood said.
