Our ranking#40

Solfarmer has its own page in our games catalog, and you can compare it with every other title in our ranked list of crypto games.

What you earn and how: Solfarmer is free-to-play play-to-earn with optional purchases: a new account gets a free starter miner and needs a wallet only to move earnings out. The reward is SOL, mined by miners whose hash power sets output. Players buy, merge and forge more miners to raise it, and one creator reports that forging and merging cost a small SOL fee. The camp unlocks at level 15 (as of 2026-09-08). There, PvP duel winners receive SOL, daily quests and streaks pay small amounts of SOL, and expeditions yield items and materials to sell on the market. The arena ladder pays by ranking during a season, and Expedition seasons carry a SOL prize pool.

How we researched this review

This is a research-based review, not a play log: nobody on our team claims hours in Solfarmer here. We read our catalog entry, 1 official page, the official gameplay guides and store listings, 4 forum or blog pages, the public X channels, the official marketplace and getting-started guide, the official update history and news coverage (read on 2026-10-29). Every price, count and size in this review carries the date of its own reading where the source gives one. Forum posts, community chats and docs pages often carry no date: those sources are undated, and each one is linked where we use it so you can check it yourself.

What is Solfarmer?

Solfarmer is a free-to-start idle mining game on Solana that runs in your browser and pays out in SOL. It’s an idle, mining and simulation title set in an underground cavern, where you run a virtual mining operation.

Solfarmer needs no client download. A new account starts free with a starter miner, and you don’t need a wallet to begin. You only need one when you want to move earnings out.

In Solfarmer you build out rooms and stack mining rigs. Each rig has its own hashrate, power draw and heat profile, so layout and power matter as much as expansion. You merge three identical units into a stronger one, and because the loop is idle, your operation keeps producing while you’re away.

Players can earn crypto, and the official site sums up the pitch as build your camp, mine SOL, and earn real crypto.

As of October 2026, Solfarmer is live. It’s a young project: the official X account opened in June 2026, and the Chapter VI: Mastery content update went live on June 23, 2026. The feature set and the economy are still growing, so the game you start today may change in the months ahead.

Gameplay experience

Solfarmer is an idle mining builder that you check in on. You buy rigs, slot them into rooms, merge them into stronger ones and claim what they produce, and a Camp layer adds a character, expeditions and PvP duels on top.

How a match plays

A session opens on the Mining Command dashboard, where a large live-earnings counter climbs in real time above an orange Claim button, with a Mining Rooms panel below it.

Next you visit the Miner Shop, which sorts rig cards such as the Basic Validator into rarity tabs. Miners you buy land in the inventory, and a deploy to farm option puts them into a room. Buying and placing both give XP. Room pages such as the Starter Rack show capacity and power bars and a list of placed rigs.

The Miner Workshop grid holds levelled rigs, from USB sticks and GPU cards up to server towers. An Auto Merge All button combines matching ones in one press. An Earnings Breakdown popup lists hashrate sources, multipliers and projected earnings. All of the mining is a game mechanic with no real cryptocurrency mining behind it, and your rigs keep producing while you’re away.

The art is pixel-based. The shop shows graphics cards with RGB fans over a cozy computer room, and the Camp is a top-down forest at night with tents, campfires and lanterns.

Modes

  • Mining rooms: you can run several rooms at once, and as of October 2026 one player’s second room held 22 miners producing over 40 hash per second.
  • In the arena you pick an opponent and fight. You get five battles a day, you can face the same opponent only once every 12 hours, and results move you on a seasonal ladder. The Training Dummy window has Arena, Defense, Ladder, History and Cosmetics tabs.
  • Expeditions send your character to locations such as pines, caves and tundra from an Expedition Board. About half the time the warrior comes back injured with only experience; otherwise he brings plenty of resources.
  • Side activities include weekly Mining Pools, Daily Arcade mini-games, a story campaign with daily story quests, marketplace trading and a Lucky Boxes vault of tiered chests.
  • A Bounty Board splits goals into daily, weekly and grand tabs, each with progress bars.

Progression and difficulty

XP is the only way to level up and unlock new miners. If you stack purchases and merges too quickly, some blockchain actions can fail to count toward XP.

The Forge screen has Consolidate, Tier-Up and History tabs. Ten miner blueprints craft a miner from a recipe, and a Research Lab sells permanent upgrades.

The Camp unlocks at level 15 and prestige at level 25. Your character has attack, defense, speed and energy stats raised with plus buttons, and luck is the stat that governs expedition loot. Gear goes into helmet, armor, gloves, boots, pickaxe and ring slots, can be rolled and enchanted, and scrolls upgrade specific pieces. As of September 2026, tank builds topped the PvP leaderboard ahead of assassin, ranger and mage-like builds. The game’s use for expedition resources and crafting junk isn’t obvious to players.

A Level page tracks named milestones, and a 7-day streak rewards daily logins. A dapp.expert review describes play built around long-term account progression.

Controls and platforms

Solfarmer runs in a browser, and there’s no client to download. Every system opens as a dark modal window over a dimmed screen. A left sidebar links to Lucky Boxes, The Camp, Market and Social Hub and shows quick stats.

Getting started

You play at solfarmer.io, free in the browser, on Solana. You don’t need to download anything or buy SOL, tokens or NFTs to begin. Registration gives every user a starter miner, which CryptoFaucet.watch describes as a basic free rig.

The first steps are to open the site, register an account, deploy the starter miner from your inventory into the starter room, and claim from the Mining Command dashboard as the counter rises. Further miners come from the Miner Shop, and a free chest offer appears among the menus.

Graphics, art and sound

Solfarmer is a pixel-art game whose dark brown, amber and gold menus wrap around two kinds of scene: glowing mining rooms and a moonlit forest camp. There’s nothing to download, and it runs both in a desktop browser tab and on a vertical mobile screen.

Art style and world

The pixel art leans dark fantasy, with warm amber, brown and gold tones throughout. Each mining room appears as a pixel-art card with a crystal-filled cave background and a progress bar, set against a warm wooden mine interior.

The mining rigs are small cube-shaped icons. Against the dark panels they glow in neon red, blue, green and yellow.

The Camp is the other recurring scene. It is a top-down isometric view of a night forest clearing, with a wooden cabin with lit windows, a glowing campfire, tents, chests and dark pine trees under a moon. Crates, a covered wagon, glowing lanterns and gold coin markers fill out the clearing. Round clickable icons placed around the area turn the scene into a menu.

Interface and menus

Navigation runs through a fixed sidebar with sections such as Farm Hub, Inventory, Miner Shop, Rooms, Quests, Level and Progression, plus quick-stat boxes for your numbers. A bar above the main view holds your currency balances and a Story button that leads into the campaign.

Text uses monospaced pixel-style fonts with amber-gold headings. Buttons are gold-orange and panels are gold-bordered. A small helmeted miner mascot is the logo, and a round gold Solfarmer emblem brands the dashboard.

Beyond the farm screens there’s a Camp Bulletin task list, a blueprint panel for The Forge and a ranked leaderboard with player avatar cards. The arcade room lays its achievements out as a grid of greyed-out tiles beside retro arcade cabinets, so locked goals are visible before you earn them. The interface also runs in Russian, with Cyrillic text across the menus.

Economy and earning reality

Most of Solfarmer’s upgrades are paid in SOL, so earnings tend to go back into the farm: forging, merging and new miners are paid in the same coin that mining produces. The game describes itself as play-to-earn Solana mining where you build a camp, mine SOL and play free.

Where the SOL comes from

Miners are the main source. They mine Solana for you, and output scales with hash power. One rare miner won in a contest raised a player’s hash power by about half, which increased that player’s monthly mining output. Better miners pay more, so the main way to earn more is to own stronger hardware.

Smaller daily sources sit on top of mining. You claim earnings with one tap, open a free chest once every 24 hours and collect finished tasks from the bounty board. Daily quests and streaks pay small amounts of Solana, PvP duel winners receive Solana, and expeditions return items and materials that you can sell on the market.

Seasons add a ladder reward tied to your final placement. During an active season the arena ladder shows a reward that moves with your rank, so the payout you see can drop when other players beat you. Treat that ladder reward as provisional until the season closes.

Where it goes back out

Forging and merging miners cost a small fee in Solana, and a merge fails if your balance can’t cover it. Forge fees are removed from supply. A recent update split earned and in-game balances, so you have to transfer earned SOL across before you can spend it on tier-ups, forging or miners. The transfer makes reinvesting a deliberate choice.

The camp market is the other sink. Equipment is bought and sold there, at prices from very cheap to expensive, and in-game earnings can be put toward more miners. Since the fees and the rewards are in the same coin, what you can withdraw is mining output and duel, quest and ladder payouts minus everything spent at the forge and the market.

Solfarmer has a small community, and almost all of it is on the official X account. Outside opinion comes from review sites, not player forums. The @solfarmer_io account had 2,317 followers as of October 30, 2026. That’s a thin player base for a game whose pitch includes competing with other players and joining guilds.

The developers post often, but what they post is tips and promotion. A post on October 28, 2026 sold idle mining as rigs that keep running underground while you sleep. On October 29, 2026 the account told players to check their available power, free miner slots and total hashrate before adding another rig.

Coverage from outlets leans positive about the design. A dapp.expert review wrote: “Unlike many early Web3 games, the gameplay focuses on long-term account progression and economic mechanics rather than relying solely on a native token.” It also describes Solfarmer as part social multiplayer game, where how your account grows depends partly on dealing with other community members. eGamers.io picked out a different strength: it says Solfarmer pays players in real SOL, where many blockchain games pay only virtual points.

The watchdog sites are more careful. CryptoFaucet.watch put the game on its Test Lab monitoring list and wrote: “For this reason, CryptoFaucet.watch does not mark SolFarmer as fully proven yet.” ScamAdviser goes further. It states that “solfarmer.io may be a scam.” and notes that the website owner’s identity is hidden. Both sites are telling you the same two things: nobody outside has finished checking the payouts, and the operator is anonymous.

Roadmap and current status

Solfarmer is live on Solana, and it’s growing. Since launching in July 2026 it has added a new competitive or progression layer in July, August and October 2026, and it logged 8 dated updates and news items in the last 12 months as of October 29, 2026. As of the same date, it ranks #40 on our list of crypto games. All of these updates ship inside the one browser game at solfarmer.io.

egamers.io reported the launch on July 3, 2026. At launch the game already had The Forge, expeditions, guild wars and a player-driven market.

On July 27, 2026, Camp PvP Season 1 went live with a 20 SOL reward pot split across three leagues and a two-week reset cycle. Before that launch, SolFarmer moved its economy onto a new backend built for performance and data integrity. In a joint statement quoted by egamers.io, the SolFarmer team said: “Season 1 is the moment SolFarmer becomes a competitive game, not just an economy.”

On August 25, 2026, the official X account announced that Expedition Season 3 would start that night. egamers.io covered the 35 SOL prize pool, the largest SolFarmer has attached to an Expedition season, and noted that every Camp standing was zeroed out. Leads from earlier seasons don’t carry over, so a newcomer starts the Camp race level with veterans.

On October 1, 2026, egamers.io reported that Mining Pools had opened in the Crypto Depths. This progression track sits next to rig upgrades, and its tiers rise as a player’s total earnings grow, with each higher tier taking a bigger share of Pool rewards.

A SolFarmer giveaway page on SweepWidget lists bi-weekly Expedition seasons with 35+ SOL prize pools and a Hall of Champions that records every season winner.

Risks

The main risk in Solfarmer is trust. The operator is anonymous, and nothing written down explains where the SOL it pays out comes from. No founder, studio or company is named publicly.

Who runs it and what backs it

No funding round or backer is on public record. No whitepaper, docs or audit report is published either. If something goes wrong, you have no named team to hold to account and no published rules to check the game against.

ScamAdviser’s warning comes from an automated site check, but nothing public from the team answers it.

Rewards and economy

egamers.io’s launch report says the game rewards players with real SOL, not virtual points. Solfarmer has no token of its own, so anything you collect is worth whatever SOL trades at when you cash out.

A dapp.expert review says the game puts gameplay depth and a sustainable in-game economy first. No published economic model backs that up, and nothing public explains how SOL payouts are funded or capped as the player count changes.

Your financial exposure starts low. Players begin with a basic free rig and expand from there. The risk grows once you put your own money into rigs or the player market, because no audit or docs cover how those funds are handled.

Solfarmer alternatives

Comparable games on our ranked list: Alien Worlds, Ashen Throne and Sleepagotchi. Solfarmer sits at #40. Each one’s page has its genre, chain, token and current status side by side with this one.

Verdict: is Solfarmer worth your time?

Solfarmer is worth trying if you want a free idle game on Solana and count any SOL it pays out as a bonus. It’s a poor place for your own money. You start free with a starter miner and don’t need a wallet until you want to move earnings out. The mining itself isn’t real crypto mining: it’s a game mechanic, egamers.io’s peer dapp.expert wrote.

Who it suits

Solfarmer suits idle players who want a short daily check-in. A typical visit has you claim earnings with one tap, open the free chest that unlocks once every 24 hours and collect finished bounties. The studio keeps adding to the game. Camp PvP seasons arrived in July 2026, Expedition seasons were paying bigger pools by August 2026, and egamers.io reported tiered Mining Pools on October 1, 2026. The official X account was still posting idle-mining tips on October 28 and 29, 2026.

Who should skip it

Skip Solfarmer if you plan to pay in. Forging and merging charge a small SOL fee, and one player’s merge failed because their balance was short. Withdrawals have a cap of 50 SOL a day, egamers.io reported at launch. A SolFarmer giveaway page on sweepwidget.com advertises real SOL withdrawals with published proof of payouts.

What would move the score

Solfarmer’s score would rise with a named team, a written account of where the SOL payouts come from and a longer record of withdrawals paid on time. It would drop if withdrawals stalled or the season schedule stopped.
