In Brief:
- SolFarmer (official site) has added Mining Pools to the Crypto Depths, giving players a progression track that runs alongside rig upgrades.
- Players move up Pool tiers by raising their total earnings. Higher tiers carry a larger share of Pool rewards.
- SolFarmer’s site says pools pay out from a weekly SOL distribution split by league tier.
SolFarmer has opened Mining Pools inside the Crypto Depths, its underground mining setting. The feature adds a second progression track to the idle mining game, separate from the upgrade path players already follow.
The studio announced the update on X under the banner “POOL PARTY: CAVERNS CONNECTED.”
POOL PARTY: CAVERNS CONNECTED.
Your mining operation can unlock more than just the next upgrade.
Mining Pools add another progression track to the Crypto Depths.
Keep mining.
Increase your total earnings.
Reach the next Pool tier.
Unlock a larger share of Pool rewards.
How the tiers work
The progression loop is simple. Players keep mining, raise their total earnings and climb to the next Pool tier. Each step up brings a larger share of Pool rewards, the team said in its post.
SolFarmer’s website describes the system in the same terms: “Join a pool, contribute hashrate, climb league tiers, share the weekly SOL distribution.”
Pool rewards are paid in SOL. SolFarmer doesn’t pay out in a token of its own.
The game also runs pool and prestige leaderboards with weekly prizes, according to its site.
Where pools fit
Pools join a list of side modes that already includes Guild Wars, Camp Expeditions, Research Lab upgrades, Daily Arcade mini-games, Lucky Box rewards, marketplace trading, daily story quests and a seven-day streak reward.
Guild Wars is the closest match. Guilds declare 24-hour hashrate battles against rival guilds, with SOL wagers and live scoring.
Pools follow a different model. Players don’t face off directly. Each one contributes hashrate to a shared pool, and payouts depend on tier.
The game behind it
SolFarmer runs in the browser and needs no install. New accounts start free with a basic miner, and a Solana wallet is only required to withdraw earnings.
The mining is a game mechanic. Players don’t mine real cryptocurrency. They run a virtual extraction operation inside the mine.
Miners can be merged into stronger versions across four rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The official site lists more than 60 collectible rigs.
The game is free to play and still in alpha.
Earnings start small
SolFarmer doesn’t oversell the starting point. The site says new players earn “typically fractions of a cent per day from the starter miner alone.” Larger payouts depend on growing a rig setup and playing regularly.
Pools tie into that same climb. The studio’s post put it in four lines: “Keep mining. Increase your total earnings. Reach the next Pool tier.”
