This is the third year in a row the game has run a Hallows Fall event. Splinterlands hasn’t announced when this year’s event ends.
Where the skins drop
The Rewards shop carries most of the new skins. The patch notes said there’s “a host of new skins” there, plus one in the Sparks shop.
Two limited print skins are available as Frontier Jackpots. More limited skins will go into each type of reward chest once the second season in October starts.
The patch notes didn’t give prices or a total skin count. Halloween stickers are also in the Sticker shop for a limited time while the event runs.
Modern Bracket cap doubles
The patch also changed more than cosmetics. When October’s second season starts, Splinterlands will raise the cap on Modern Bracket winnings from 2% to 4%. The team said the change will affect SPS distribution at the end of October.
It follows an Oct. 6 update that dropped the Modern win streak cutoff from 3,700 rating to 3,000 rating.
The Oct. 13 release also fixed a Volley bug. Before the fix, Ranged attacks didn’t trigger ahead of the Volley attack, even when the Ranged unit had higher speed. And 25 new player-created stickers went up in the Artisan Quarter.
Other changes in the patch include a setting that turns off the stat-adjustment animations during team creation, an option to remove a whole page from a binder and a new On Bracket Cooldown filter in the card display. Cards on bracket cooldown can now be included in Trade Offers.
Last year’s event
The 2025 event ran from Oct. 14 to Nov. 4. It added two holiday skin sets, Spooky and Haunted.
Players could buy Spooky skins in the Reward shop with Glint. Commons cost 500 Glint, rares 2,500, epics 8,000 and legendaries 20,000.
Starting Oct. 15 last year, a small set of limited Spooky summoner skins and older cards, along with a very limited Haunted set, showed up in Ultimate chests. Each chest had a 3% chance of dropping one, and the potion drop chance went down by the same amount.
The 2025 event also brought in the Blood Moon ruleset, which gave every unit the Blood Lust ability at the start of the match. Blood Moon was switched off with the Nov. 4 update.
The first Hallows Fall was much smaller. On Oct. 15, 2024, Splinterlands temporarily swapped some of the game’s art for holiday versions. The Nov. 12, 2024, release notes closed it out with one line: “Hallows Fall has passed, and holiday artwork has been removed… for now.”
