In Brief:
- ZarGates said its Heroes of Valdir NFT collection would go to mint the day after a Monday morning post on X.
- The project called the launch “a major step toward our upcoming TGE.” It hasn’t announced a date for that event.
- The first pack has 36 heroes, picked after a community contest that drew more than 950 participants. Creators get royalties on the mint and on secondary sales.
ZarGates said mint day for its Heroes of Valdir collection would come the day after its post on X, and it tied the drop directly to its long-promised token generation event.
“This launch means a lot to us,” the team said in the post. It added that the mint is “a major step toward our upcoming TGE.”
Gm, 𝕏-Fam!
May your morning be magical and wonderful!
Tomorrow is mint day for the HEROES OF VALDIR collection! This launch means a lot to us — it's a major step toward our upcoming TGE, and by the way, we've got a surprise prepared for all collectors that'll be announced
ZarGates also said it has “a surprise prepared for all collectors that’ll be announced.” The post didn’t say what the surprise is or when it would be revealed. It also didn’t give a mint price, supply beyond the first pack or a direct mint link.
Community-built heroes
The heroes in the collection came from the community. ZarGates ran a series of creative challenges on X that asked users, most of them AI artists, to design a hero for the world of Valdir.
More than 950 people took part, ZarGates said. From those entries, the team picked a first pack of 36 heroes to be minted as NFTs. It’s also producing a cinematic promo trailer featuring all 36 winners.
Creators whose heroes made the collection get a minting royalty and an ongoing royalty on secondary sales, according to the project. ZarGates said more than 1,000 creators have contributed to the Valdir story so far.
The team has called the collection “a new chapter in creating a LORE with our community, where NFTs become part of IP that our community will co-own.”
Ties to Pvpvibe
The heroes are linked to games built on the Pvpvibe AI platform. ZarGates has described a location called the Ziggurat, where players are supposed to mine resources to upgrade their heroes in those games.
In June, the team showed Stacia 1.0, a game creation algorithm it said it built for AI creators. ZarGates said the tool can generate a game from a single prompt.
The Valdir lore events didn’t stop with the hero contest. On July 31, ZarGates started a Tales of Valdir boss creation event, asking creators to design bosses for dungeons opened by rifts across the land. Some community entries in these events have been tagged as paid partnerships with AI tool sponsors.
A long road to TGE
ZarGates has talked about a TGE since 2024. That year the team said its main goal was to reach more than 15 million users before the token generation event.
Its 2024 podcast covered plans to make 100% of tokens available at TGE. The project also promised the top 500 players on one leaderboard a place in a pre-market event with guaranteed token allocations ahead of the TGE.
Duncan Scott, ZarGates co-founder and chief financial officer, told investors in an update about a year ago, “Our TGE is coming.” No date has followed.
ZarGates bills itself on X as publishing and infrastructure for gaming companies. It also runs a Telegram bot app and an NFT sticker collection on Telegram. The project’s X account was compromised by a hacker at one point, and the team has told users to rely only on official channels for links.
Its X bio carries a three-word disclaimer: “All posts NFA.”
