In Brief:
- Wilder World (official site) moved full inventory and stash management into the Apartment, the player space in Wiami’s Trenches district where Wilders spawn.
- The change follows a July build that resynchronized Backpack, Loadout and Stash after quantity desyncs, delayed updates and stack errors.
- It feeds into the Compound, which folds the garage, apartment and Gun & Gear Room into one connected space wired directly to inventory.
Wilder World players can now handle full inventory and stash management from inside the Apartment, the studio said in a post on X.
The Apartment sits in the Trenches, and it’s where Wilders spawn in the open world loop before reviewing a mission brief, equipping weapons and heading to a vehicle flagged on the minimap. Until now the heavier inventory work happened elsewhere. City Storage in Agora Alley was the first inventory location to house a player’s master inventory, giving somewhere permanent to manage a loadout, pull from a full stash and deposit items rather than haul them into high-threat zones.
Full inventory and stash management is now available directly from the Apartment.

Cleaning up the plumbing first
The move lands after months of repair work on the systems underneath it. A July 19 release rebuilt backpack displays from the authoritative stored inventory so stale records couldn’t overwrite equipped loadouts, and brought Backpack, Loadout and Stash into consistent sync.
That patch fixed quantity desyncs, delayed updates, stack overflow and incorrect source-stack reductions. Stack handling started respecting per-slot limits. Pickups now verify quantities before a move completes.
Attachment logic tightened in the same build. Invalid combinations get rejected with feedback, secondary weapons run Optic and Barrel slots only, rarity colors refresh after swaps and dragged items stopped leaving ghost states. The combat HUD began reading health canister counts straight from the inventory database.
Stat modifiers and persistent degradation went live alongside it. Every equipped piece changes movement, protection and loadout performance, and armor wears down as it absorbs impacts. Hovering an item shows its full set of stat modifiers through tooltips across Loadout and Gear.
The Compound
The Apartment is one piece of the Compound, which Wilder World has described as a unified starting point in the Trenches joining the garage, apartment and Gun & Gear Room. Players drive in, take the elevator up and display the cars, weapons, gear, Kicks, clothing, statues and artwork they own.
Everything connects directly to inventory. More vehicle bays, weapon slots, display cases and equipped mannequins unlock as a compound grows.
The studio has called it the first step toward player compounds that connect to buildings, real estate and ownership across Wiami.
What the wallet decides
What appears in inventory still depends on holdings. Avatar items must be held in connected ZERO wallets to be visible and usable in game, and selling one removes it from both inventory and saved configurations.
Custom Avatars went live in the Super Early Access build this month, replacing preset Trinity suits with slot-by-slot gear pulled from Wilder Packs.
Season Zero and the loop behind it
Season Zero: The Invasion went live in late June, announced through the studio’s ZINE on June 26, and gave Wiami its first structured gameplay. Players hold off invading forces, extract MILD and collect Shards at the EZK Neural Station.
Gear traded during the season stayed off chain through Satin Passage, Wiami’s in-game market, with onchain integration planned for the end of Season Zero. Trading runs through the ZERO wallet with no gas fees, and listed items are held by the marketplace until sold or cancelled. It opened with Wilder Packs and their contents, covering Weapons, Wheels mods and Avatar gear, with more collections to follow.
Co-founder Frank Wilder said in an Aug. 22 post on X that sharpening that loop and moving it fully onchain is now the studio’s top priority.
“Season Zero gave us the foundation and a clear loop: enter Wiami, fight, risk and extract,” Wilder said.
The Rebirth roadmap covers five core milestones and five expansions: creation, scarcity, identity, commerce and reach. Shards sit at the center as the core resource class of Wiami, onchain assets that trade on the marketplace, materialize into gear and get fought over by everyone in the city.
“The Rebirth roadmap remains the source of truth,” Wilder said.
