In Brief:
- Loadout opens LOAD/SOL staking on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. UTC, with 100M LOAD committed to rewards over two years.
- Emissions start at their highest level and decline over time. The team said the program is meant to deepen liquidity for better trade execution and less slippage.
- Staking arrives about two weeks after the protocol’s Oct. 12 launch on Solana and a pause in game launches that began Oct. 15.
Loadout will open LOAD/SOL staking on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. UTC and is putting 100M LOAD into rewards over two years.
The team announced the program on X. “Stake to earn your share while building deeper liquidity for better trade execution and less slippage,” Loadout said in the post.

We’re putting 100M LOAD into rewards over two years. Stake to earn your share while building deeper liquidity for better trade execution and less slippage.
Emissions start highest and decrease over time.
Choose flexible
The reward schedule is front-loaded. “Emissions start highest and decrease over time,” the post said, so early stakers get the largest share of the emissions. The post also refers to a flexible option for stakers. It does not set out lock terms or reward rates.
Liquidity first
The program pairs LOAD with SOL, which ties rewards to liquidity depth in the token’s main market. LOAD moved into a Meteora pool after launching on Loadout’s own bonding curve.
That launch used a sniper deterrent. Trading fees started as high as 99% and fell to 5% over about 60 seconds.
Loadout went live on Solana on Oct. 12. Users who connected Solana wallets and X accounts during the Season 0 campaign could claim XP toward LOAD rewards.
Staking was already on the roadmap
Staking was part of the plan before this week. In mid-October the team listed better liquidity, the introduction of staking and a larger game pipeline as goals for the following four to six weeks.
LOAD is the platform’s utility token. Its uses include referral rewards, trading rewards and staking. Part of platform fees goes to automatic buybacks and burns of LOAD.
Team tokens are locked for 12 months and then vest linearly over another 12. Investors got 5% of their allocation at TGE, and the remaining 95% vests over six months.
After the pause
The announcement comes after a rough first week. On Oct. 15, Loadout paused launches to fix problems on the platform.
“We want launches back up and running as soon as possible,” Loadout said at the time. “We’re designing new anti-snipe, brought on another developer to work on staking, and have started building permissionless launches.”
Launches are restarting. The team said Lo and Behold, a cozy roguelike from Soulcraft Games, would hit the launchpad during the week of Oct. 21. Loadout said the game has 13,000 Steam wishlists.
How the launchpad works
Illuvium (official site) co-founder Kieran Warwick founded Loadout, and the Illuvium ILV $3.11 ▼ -9.5% team built it for indie and AA studios. Before a studio can issue a bonding-curve token, it has to submit a playable demo, design documents, team details, a roadmap and a funding plan.
There are no presales, private rounds or VC discounts. Each trade carries a 5% fee: 4% goes to the game’s treasury and 1% to the platform. A project graduates once it reaches 85 SOL, and its liquidity moves into a locked Meteora DLMM pool.
The games don’t have to be built around tokens. They can ship on Steam, consoles or other platforms.
Warwick has described “capital formation as one of the most practically useful things crypto can offer the gaming industry.”
