What is Apeiron?

Apeiron is a blockchain "god game" that mixes god-game strategy with action RPG combat under the tagline "Ascend the Godiverse". Apeiron is a god game, not the civilisation builder its stock blurb suggests. You play a newborn Godling presiding over a planet of Doods — small, needy inhabitants whose daily problems you solve with elemental miracles drawn from fire, water, air and earth. The other half is an action layer: you take direct control of the planet's Avatar and fight through dungeons in real-time, card-driven combat, recruiting Dood apostles as you go. It comes from Singapore studio Foonie Magus, and the acknowledged touchstones are Populous and Black & White.

The interesting part is that double loop. Nurturing a world and then raiding it are genuinely different activities, and the ownership layer is built around the planet rather than a cosmetic: hold more than one and you can breed a new world, and a planet whose dungeons are cleared can be destroyed for soul gems that permanently strengthen your spirit core.

The friction is that the planet has historically been the gate to playing at all, with rentals and scholarships as the workaround — economics before onboarding.
