AFK Heroes unveils biggest reward pool to date
AFK Heroes has kicked off Season 4, claiming its highest reward pool ever with 100 million AFKHERO, valued at around $18,100. The announcement comes as the idle RPG aims to boost player engagement through substantial token incentives.
This season’s rewards are divided into three segments: 60 million AFKHERO for gameplay, 20 million for staking, and 20 million designated for prizes. Players can earn a share of the primary pool based on their heroes’ Power Levels, with stronger heroes securing larger portions.
Reward values climb each season
Historically, the total reward values have increased markedly over the seasons. Season 1 launched with rewards worth about $2,300, which rose to $3,700 in Season 2 and $9,400 in Season 3. The current season’s valuation is nearly double that of Season 3 and almost eight times more than Season 1.
Previously, Season 3 went live on August 28, 2026, tripling its reward pool compared to Season 2. The new season will introduce a competitive edge as rewards grow and gameplay intensifies.
Staking vault highlights token economy
Staking has become integral to the AFKHERO economy. In September, the staking vault reached its cap with 250 million AFKHERO locked, representing 25% of the total supply. The team emphasized, “One in every four tokens is now locked in the vault.”
AFKHERO has a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens and engages users through seasonal rewards and in-game earnings. A referral program incentivizes players based on their network’s trading and spending activities.
Game details and recent updates
AFK Heroes, a free-to-play idle RPG on Solana, features a voxel art style and operates through browser and mobile without a download requirement. Players create heroes from various classes, engaging in automatic combat while they are away.
Since its June launch, AFK Heroes has attracted over 10,000 wallet connections and maintained a strong player base, peaking at about 2,400 concurrent users. Recent updates include the introduction of mining on October 13 and real-time 1v1 duels replacing turn-based PvP on October 15.
The game also made its debut on the Solana dApp Store earlier this month, offering Seeker phone owners a one-time welcome pack, specifically designed to limit bot farming. AFK Heroes currently ranks #25 on PlayToEarn with a score of 1,014.
