In Brief:
- Doge Museum deployed the first NFT marketplace on DogeOS, open for testing on the network’s Chikyū testnet.
- The platform supports minting, listing, bidding, buying and selling, with a 5% fee on secondary sales and royalties paid at settlement.
- The team teased the Dogeolith, which its documentation calls the first NFT ever minted on DogeOS, airdropped to testnet holders when mainnet arrives.
Doge Museum went live on DogeOS, opening the first NFT marketplace on the network for testing.
The deployment hit the Chikyū testnet on Oct. 8, the team said in a post on X. The post framed the rollout as a terminal log, from “deploying doge museum…” to “status: OK.” Minting, listing, bidding, buying and selling all run through contracts at doge.museum, with trades settled on-chain in testnet DOGE.

Dogeolith soon.
Sofa Labs builds the platform, which bills itself as the official Doge Museum on DogeOS for minting, collecting and trading NFTs in DOGE. DogeOS’s ecosystem page lists it as the NFT marketplace for the network.
Fees and royalties
Secondary sales carry a 5% marketplace fee, plus a creator royalty of typically 2.5% where a collection sets one, according to the project’s documentation. Both cuts come out of the sale price, so buyers pay exactly what’s listed.
Royalties follow EIP-2981. The collection declares a rate and a recipient, and the marketplace pays the royalty at settlement, in the same transaction as the sale. Listing is free, though it’s a transaction, so sellers pay gas.
The marketplace doubles as a launchpad. Creators can run phased mints with allowlists, and collections deploy with the creator’s wallet as owner, keeping control of royalties, phases and allowlists.
The Dogeolith
The marketplace’s own collectible is already in the works. According to the docs, the Dogeolith is the first NFT ever minted on DogeOS. It’s free to mint on testnet and will be airdropped to holders when mainnet arrives.
Holders don’t have to do anything at mainnet beyond keeping the token in the wallet they want the airdropped version in. What counts is what a wallet holds at snapshot time, the docs said.
An earlier post said all WOOFLISTED and Laika SuperApp OGs are whitelisted, with more allowlist opportunities to come. Each Dogeolith carries perks tied to the DogeOS ecosystem, including exclusive rewards, early access and project airdrops.
Testnet context
DogeOS opened its public testnet on Sept. 30. The network is an EVM-compatible application layer built as a zero-knowledge rollup that settles to Dogecoin, developed by the team behind the MyDoge wallet. DOGE is the only gas token, chain ID is 6281971 and a faucet dispenses 42.069 test DOGE a day. The tokens carry no value.
The team raised $6.9 million in a round announced in May 2025. It hasn’t announced a mainnet date. “Mainnet comes with DogeOS mainnet,” the Doge Museum docs said.
“The testnet gives builders a place to turn ideas for Dogecoin into working applications,” DogeOS founder and CEO Jordan Jefferson said when the testnet opened. “The teams joining this ecosystem are tackling the pieces DOGE has been missing: markets, financial tools, games and more ways to use Dogecoin. Today marks the beginning of Dogecoin’s evolution from asset to ecosystem.”
Doge Museum is one of several apps already running on Chikyū, alongside the Barkswap exchange, the Derps perpetuals platform and the MOAR lending protocol. Its docs are blunt about what trades are worth right now: real contracts, real trades, testnet DOGE.
The deployment post closed with a two-word tease: “Dogeolith soon.”
