Frost Kingdom reached No. 1 on the popularity charts at both Apple’s App Store and Google Play, publisher NEXUS said Saturday, three weeks after the merge SLG went live worldwide.
NEXUS said the game placed first in the games category popularity ranking on Korea’s domestic Apple App Store. Servers are open, and the company is adding more on the back of the result.

It’s the first title NEXUS has published on its own. The game launched July 23 across iOS, Android and PC, alongside ONE store, and an HTML5 build runs in a browser with no install. One account carries across platforms.
Two builds, one game
NEXUS ships Frost Kingdom in a domestic Korean version and a global version that carries the blockchain functions. Apart from those functions, every other system in the two builds is identical.
The medieval-themed strategy game drops the usual construction and troop-training timers. Players drag buildings and units together to fuse them instantly, and combat runs on a rock-paper-scissors triangle where infantry beats archers, archers beat cavalry and cavalry beats infantry. There are more than 100 unit types and a hero collection system spanning four grades.
The RDIA cap
RDIA is capped at 500,000 units and was distributed only through the limited Genesis Box pre-sale. There’s no ongoing in-game issuance.
Holders can convert RDIA into Red Diamond, the currency used to buy in-game items, at one Red Diamond to one dollar. Or they can swap into $ONEUSD for use across the wider ecosystem.
NEXUS routes 5% of the game's revenue into a reward pool. Holders of $RDIA earn $ONEUSD from that pool in proportion to their holdings.
Renamed rails
The launch landed in the middle of a rebrand. NEXUS renamed the CROSS mainnet ONEchain, moved the native token from $CROSS to $ONE and finalized the ecosystem’s common unit as $ONEUSD. The company, led by CEO Henry Chang, had earlier acquired the domestic app market ONE store and tied the store and the token under a single brand.
Frost Kingdom plugs into both of the ecosystem’s engagement platforms. On the quest platform ONEquest, domestic users earn ONE store points and global users earn $ONE for completing missions. On the streamer platform ONEwave, creators make guides and gameplay videos and get paid according to their contribution to game engagement.
A ONEquest campaign built around the launch carries a 150,000 prize pool and runs through Sept. 30, 2026. NEXUS also opened a “Build Your Alliance” campaign on ONEwave, structured around six content pillars including tokenomics, Red Diamond, game overview and the merge and SLG hybrid. Referral rewards there only credit invites where the recipient installs the game and finishes the tutorial.
What the beta showed
NEXUS ran a closed beta from June 4 to 10 and used the feedback to adjust tokenomics and game quality. Testers came from more than 100 countries, with heavy participation from Brazil, Indonesia and the Philippines.
The test was also the first deployment of CROSS Game Hub, the company’s proprietary web shop platform. Payments through the CROSS platform accounted for 78.1% of all transactions during the beta.
Since launch, NEXUS has added Japanese to the service languages after a positive response in Japan and pushed out new buildings and other content on a rolling basis.
What’s running now
An alliance ranking event for global users on the new servers runs until the regular maintenance on Aug. 31. NEXUS plans to distribute $ONE tokens on a sliding scale to the five alliances with the highest combat power.
And there’s a giveaway open to domestic and overseas players alike. Anyone who creates a new character on any server gets Yi Seong-gye, an SSR-grade hero.
