Ragnarok Online Landverse America adds Card Ascension and Geffen MVP event in Oct. 22 patch

In Brief:

• Maxion’s Oct. 22 gameplay update for Ragnarok Online Landverse America adds Card Ascension, a system that breaks cards down into Card Fragments, plus a two-week event that fills a Geffen map with level 125 MVP clones.
• NOVA Instance Landstone 6 brings in Expansion VI Landstones. NOVA Instance Treasure 5 gets two new SSR items, Champion Mask and Bravery Bag [1], and both can be minted as NFTs.
• The Rachel Sanctuary donation event has ended. A new server-wide goal of 100,000,000 Zeny now stands between players and access to the area.

Maxion pushed a gameplay update to Ragnarok Online Landverse America on Oct. 22. It adds a card recycling system, a limited-time MVP event in Geffen and a sixth tier of the NOVA Landstone instance.

The patch also adds two SSR items to the NOVA Treasure 5 reward pool. It ends the reward phase of the Rachel Sanctuary donation drive and sets a new community target.

Card Ascension

Players take cards to the Card Master in Izlude (82, 215) and break them down for Card Fragments. Fragments can go toward upgrades, random card fusion or items from a dedicated shop. The patch notes list 12 cards eligible for disassembly, nine X Card upgrades and four fusion tiers.

Yields run from 10 fragments for a Leaf Cat Card to 150 apiece for Mobster and Zealotus cards. Errende Ebecee and Egnigem Cenia cards return 80 each.

Each X Card upgrade takes the matching base card plus 1,000 Card Fragments. Hydra X Card raises damage against Demi-Human monsters by 25%. Abysmal Knight X Card adds 30% damage against Boss-class monsters, and Horn X Card cuts ranged damage taken by 40%, excluding magic attacks.

X Cards weigh 1 and can’t be dropped, traded, put in a cart, placed in guild storage or mailed. They can be sold to NPCs and kept in personal storage.

Fragment Fusion costs 80, 120, 160 or 320 fragments for a random card from Tiers 1 through 4. A Tier 5 roll needs two each of Mysterious Fragments I through V and draws from a list of 38 MVP cards that includes Baphomet, Memory of Thanatos and Atroce.

The Card Fragment Shop in Izlude (58, 215) sells those Mysterious Fragments for 10,000 to 30,000 Card Fragments each. It also stocks Kafra Buff, Adamantine Blessing boxes and Arcane Slipstone, which costs 400 Silvervine. Weekly purchase limits reset every Sunday at midnight.

Card removal goes through the Card Engineer at Izlude (58, 211). The three removal levels cost 400,000, 800,000 and 1,700,000 Zeny, each plus 10 Card Fragments, with success rates of 5%, 10% and 20%. A failed attempt doesn’t destroy the card or the gear. MVP cards come off with one Arcane Slipstone at a guaranteed rate, and the item keeps its refine level.

Eclipse of Landverse: Geffen

The Geffen event starts at 8 a.m. Oct. 22, after maintenance, and ends at 7 a.m. Nov. 5, before maintenance. Heroic King at Geffen 111, 104 sends players into gef_dun01.

Three copies of each listed MVP spawn on the map and come back 15 seconds after they die. The clones keep their original skills and stats, but at level 125 with ATK, MATK and max HP each raised 15%. The roster includes Baphomet, Osiris, Pharaoh, Valkyrie Randgris and Beelzebub.

Every MVP has a 9% chance to drop Eclipse of Arcane and drops one to three Adamantine. Sephiroth at Geffen 106, 96 takes 10 Eclipse of Arcane per exchange. Each exchange has a 97% chance of any OCA card and a 3% chance of a Primary Landstone Box Expansion V.

VIP isn’t required. Each account gets two hours a day, and extra hours cost 2 Silvervine each with no cap. Auto-Battle is banned and Asura Strike damage is capped at 500,000.

Kills don’t use Stamina and death carries no EXP penalty. The MVPs give 1 base EXP and 0 job EXP. Teleport, Ice Wall and Warp Portal are among the blocked skills, and Fly Wing and Giant Fly Wing are blocked items. A daily quest pays 200 Adamantine Blessing for 30 MVP kills.

NOVA instances

Landstone 6 adds the Primary Landstone Box (Expansion VI) to the instance reward table at a 5% rate. It’s also in the Land Stone Shop for five Land Dynite. The box rolls one of 36 Landstone I pieces.

New Strong, Universal and Potentia Landstone boxes cost 100, 125 and 100 Land Dynite. Each of the three lines gets a Landstone I to II upgrade path. Every upgrade takes 10 Land Dynite and 200 Land Crystal, plus extra ore such as 50 Land Whidium Ore for the Universal pieces.

The instance hasn’t changed otherwise. It’s solo and VIP-only, requires level 30 and has a 60-minute limit, with a five-minute mining phase.

Treasure 5 Item Update 2 runs from 8 a.m. Oct. 22 to 7 a.m. Nov. 5 (GMT-3). Champion Mask and Bravery Bag [1] each sit at 0.080% in the standard pool. Two rate-up modes raise the featured item to 0.175%.

Champion Mask is a mid headgear for level 100 Champions with ATK +20 and STR +3, plus Finger Offensive bonuses at +5, +7 and +9 refine. Bravery Bag [1] is a garment for all classes that allows Teleport Lv. 1. Neither item works in WoE or PvP, and neither can be traded, but both can be minted as NFTs.

Rachel Sanctuary

The Show Your Support For Rachel Sanctuary event has ended. New donations no longer earn event rewards, and the window to claim them has closed.

Maxion set a new total of 100,000,000 Zeny. Rachel Sanctuary opens once donations reach that mark. Earlier donations still count toward the total, and this stage pays no rewards. Players donate at an NPC near the church entrance, and amounts that aren’t multiples of 50,000 Zeny are rounded down.

Fixes

Maxion publishes the game under license from Gravity Co., Ltd., and it has been live in Latin America and North America since December 2025.

The Oct. 22 notes list four fixes. The Gear Score Ranking buff UI now increases MATK, and Mini Mana Potion effects apply correctly. A slotted Critical Hit Shadow Weapon now gets a combo effect with Critical Shadow, and the Shadow Malicious Set description has been clarified. Effect Stones now apply their options to Slot 3 as described.
