Zeeverse (official site) update 1.17.8 adds a Halloween event and a new Buy tab at the Hoarder, alongside a batch of quest tweaks, interface changes and bug fixes. The seasonal event brings the legendary Watcher’s Crescent Axe and other spooky seasonal items.
The Buy tab is there for players who lose their starter gear. Bronze tools can now be bought back from the Hoarder, so losing them no longer leaves you stuck.
Quality-of-life changes
Several changes make the game easier to read. You can now preview equipment stats from the marketplace and the crafting interface before buying. In battles, clicking an ability shows its description. Bronze, Iron and Steel Fishing Poles can also be sold at the Hoarder now.
A few quests got attention too:
- In A Longer Ask, the wooden slab now stands out and is easier to spot.
- The Oath quest keeps its tracking gameplay intact. The quest tracker shows the search area without giving away the exact path.
- During the Mask of Roots quest, Bark can be seen from further away.
The audio side adds new music for the tutorial and for the Halloween event.
Bug fixes
The patch also clears out a list of bugs:
- Sori and Pek no longer share the same speaker name in dialogue during A Longer Ask.
- Your character no longer appears to walk through The Well environment object when entering the dungeon.
- Running up the hatchery stairs no longer teleports your character back down.
- Collision issues that let Shamans clip through terrain have been fixed.
- The Level Up Tutorial now appears in Coyote Quest.
- Cragoth’s shell no longer pops back into view after the boss is defeated.
- The visual Spirit bonus calculation for Mask Bonus at the Hoarder now shows the correct value.
- The Cure Sickness Potion in Root of the Problem now works at any zoom level, not only at maximum zoom.
- Watcher’s Fang can now be equipped during instanced battles.
- The Klein staff bonus, which auto-sells relics from dungeons, works again.
