Price, supply and a converter between SAND, USD, EUR, ETH and BTC.

No loginSaved in this browser

The SAND price in dollars, euros, ether and bitcoin, with change, market cap, supply and a converter. The price and supply come from a market data provider (CoinGecko) and the on-chain pool figures from GeckoTerminal. The server keeps each answer for five minutes and the page shows its age, so you always see how fresh a number is.

DEX figures cover only the Ethereum pools GeckoTerminal tracks; most SAND trading happens on exchanges, so the whole-market volume above is far larger. Compare both before you judge how easy SAND is to sell.

What SAND is used for

  • Price currency on the Sandbox Marketplace (assets, avatars, equipment).
  • Buying and selling LAND and other NFTs in the Sandbox economy.
  • Staking for rewards where local rules allow, and DAO governance.

Source: Sandbox docs, SAND page (docs.sandbox.game/en/owners/sand, read 30 Oct 2026). Max supply 3 billion. SAND is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum; the docs say marketplace transactions and claims happen on Polygon and staking needs SAND on Polygon.

How it works

Each time a visitor loads this page the browser asks our server for the price. The server answers from a copy it keeps for five minutes, and only when that copy is older does it call CoinGecko (price, supply, change) and GeckoTerminal (Ethereum pool price, volume and liquidity). If both fail it shows a saved copy for up to a day and labels it; if there is none it says the price is unavailable.

amount in X = amount in SAND x price of 1 SAND in X fully diluted value = 3,000,000,000 x SAND price

Conversions between two non-SAND units go through SAND. We never fill a missing figure from memory.

FAQ

What is the maximum supply of SAND?

Three billion SAND, according to the Sandbox docs. The circulating figure on this page is reported by the data source and is dated.

Why do the DEX volume and the total volume differ so much?

The DEX figure covers only the Ethereum pools GeckoTerminal tracks. Most SAND trading happens on exchanges, which the whole-market figure includes. Compare both to judge how easy SAND is to sell.

How often is the price refreshed?

The server keeps a price for up to five minutes, and the page shows its age. If the live source does not answer, a saved copy is shown and labelled.

Which networks is SAND on?

SAND is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. The Sandbox docs say Marketplace transactions and claims happen on Polygon and that staking needs SAND on Polygon, reachable with the Sandbox Bridge.
